I am really considering getting the Office Mattio OM1. Can’t really find much on it. Anything you can tell me? I am being offered at $8600 with SRAM Red AXS. Worth it?
I was really in between Scott Foil 10 or Canyon Aeroad until this. I didn’t see the Officine on your list. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have a Chapter 2 Tere rim. Fantastic ride. Great all rounder, very well balanced, excellent handling and very very comfortable. Higher stack and standard than a couple of my other more aggressive bikes. All day in the drops on my Tere works for me. 7.5 kg all in is light enough for me. Check out their mana integrated bar. I absolutely love it. Super stiff and shallow drops. If I could afford it I would buy them for all my road bikes.

De Rosa is one of the best known road bike brands in existence. They're small in comparison to Specialized or Giant, but De Rosa has been around for decades and a huge cult following ever since. There is a legend that it was founder Ugo de Rosa himself to teach the greatest professional road cyclist of all time, Eddy Merckx, how to build bike frames, which was in the early 1970s.

Sorry to hear about your symptoms. I had a suspected case of COVID about 5 weeks ago and i'm on a slow fitness recovery at the moment. I'm probably about 15% off my pre-covid fitness at the moment, although it was much worse a few weeks ago. Current symptoms are increased breathing rate as i approach threshold, only being able to hold threshold for about a quarter of the usual duration plus an inability to get above 90% hrmax. Recovery seems around 2% a week but things are never a straight road. Hope this information is of use to someone.

I absolutely love my Storck Scentron which was one of their less expensive models a few years ago. I’ve ridden a gazillion bikes since I got into cycling in 1979. The Storck is the most amazing thing I’ve owned. Don’t ever feel like you have to spend big money to get a great ride. That’s kind of foolish, actually.

Storck may not be too well-known internationally, but it's quite a household name among Central-European road bikers. And KTM is not a "former" motorcycle brand, it still is. It is also a bicycle manufacturer, in fact one of the, if not the, largest in Europe. Technically the two branches are totally separate companies.

      Handlebars - 400 wide 120mm stem lenght
      Fork - 394
      Unpainted 1336.2 grams
I custom painted it candy orange and it only added a further 50 grams exactly. I have all the pics to back this up.

Since every bike in the end is but the sum of its parts, of course you can jack up a Rose bike to almost 10.000 Euros when adding all kinds of super-expensive components like Campagnolo SR EPS groupset, lightweight wheels or similar super-bling stuff.

    • @stavroskandianopoulos1755
      @stavroskandianopoulos1755 3 ปีที่แล้ว

KTM was always a great company and especially 25 years ago!! only the very high models of Yamaha (Yamaha TT) and none of the Honda's could compare with the thorowbreed KTM's
      or the Husqvarna's.
25 years ago the quality was still present in Europe...
Honda and Yamaha were cheaper though.
      Now about cycling,
price is not straight forward connected with quality. 10.000€ costing
bikes from companies that are changing ownership
      every now and then,
      produced God knows where, with
      varying tolerances,
      bragging about their
      innovative features...
      There are very few
Bike manifactures with vision and integrity. Some of them are in Europe some in the States
some in Asia (Japan, Taiwan, China).
And you don't have to sell your house or get devorced to ride them...

    Happy new year!!!
Just to make something clear there is not comparison of a STORK, a Lapierre, a Look, a BASSO and other companies (that I can list you if you want) qualitywise with the new Specialized's wich are hugely overpriced or the new Cannondale's
    which have lost their
    personality and feeling.
We've been carried away by marketing
hypes and we are talking about thousands of dollars
or euros for buying a bike that the pros use.....
    They are SPONSORED!!!
Sponsored to ride disks or whatever their commitment allows. There is a whole team supporting them during their races and training rides!!!
And their spare wheels and parts are paid by their sponsors (us in fact).
Anyway... To cut a long story short...
I wish Cervelos were still White & Vroomen concept's
made under USA standards, Cannondale's to be made in the States,
retaining or evolving their own characteristics (not copying the Giant tcr) Specialized's to
    justify their price,
(10.000 € bikes with threaded beatbox!!!!
    and that's OK!!!!
    Sorry can't get over it.)
    There are bikes with
    one third of the cost
    with better tolerances but their
    marketing is not so loud..
    I'm really sorry....

What a surprise. Every bike looks just like every other bike in the video, and they ALL look exactly like all of the other super bike that have been released in the past 5 years. I don't envy bike designers now. They have been busting their balls trying to design a bike people will jump on, but building the same frame for almost 100 years and selling them like hot cakes since owners buy a new one every 2-5 years. Actually, I am kind of jealous.
"Hey, you know that $8000 bike you have with wires hanging out? Well, it is obsolete. We drilled holes in the frame and hid the wires so now your old bike is worthless. Come on, spend another $8000 on this nice, new bike."
"Hey, everyone knows that wider tires have less rolling resistance, so we designed a bike with wider forks that can run wider tires. This new fork is $8000 and comes with the rest of the bike. Before we run your credit card we will offer you a set of new $3000 wheels so you can get the most speed out of your new $8000 bike."

It’s the same reason you buy a Ferrari or a McLaren rather than a top of the range BMW/Audi when you’re not a professional driver.

      @einundsiebenziger5488 3 ปีที่แล้ว

It's a* European* brand (yes, "Europe" is spelled with a vowel at the beginning, but that is pronouced like a consonant, so it's "a", not "an") but the vast majority of parts are made in Asia (frame, drivetrain). The bikes are only assembled in Austria.

this channel has a commendably non-nonsense attitude to cycling flim-flam & hype. but you could improve things by dropping the canard that bike frames are “aero”, or “more aero” than others. they aren’t. wheels have an aerodynamic value, or relative advantage; frames don’t. they inhabit dirty air. flat tubes aren’t superior to round ones. it’s just marketing.

Ha ha ha you really think Canyon bikes will pull out the UK market? No way, they would lose millions. Just like the German car industry, they desperately need us.
