I met Norman Lovett a few years ago, he told me a tale of how the “Everybody’s dead Dave” was the only line given to him for his audition, everything else was improv with Craig. They were so impressed that not only did he get the job but they wrote the improvised audition into the first script. I will also add, his live show ‘Bags and Biscuits’ was brilliant. And I still have the signed DVD
@@cainealexander-mccord2805 Hello. Obviously, neither of us would want to reveal our email addresses on TH-cam, so what I'll do is this: I'll set up a throwaway email account and you can email your details there, ok? I'll do this in the next day or so. BTW, I also have the 'Bad News' albums (very little music but a LOT of arguing!) if you're interested. Watch this space for an email address you can send your details to. Regards, Patrick
Oh I am in absolute heaven. I didn’t even know this album existed despite being a huge Young Ones fan. I had the Neil single of Hole in my Shoe with Hurdy Gurdy Mushroom Man on the B side and now I come to find there are many more to enjoy. I have been listening to them on Spotify and genuinely can’t stop grinning. Thank you so much
I think the sweetest thing about the Red Dwarf 'tongue tied' segement, is the guys admitting on the DVD cast commentary for that episode, that it was an absolute mare to film. And that they didn't enjoy it at all. You could probably make a Red Dwarf top 10 moments just out of Kryten's ripostes back at Rimmer during the show's run. I'm partial to the 'Captain Bollocks' line myself.
My dad and I love Red Dwarf, he got me into it just before my teens :) We then shared it with my little cousin who we raised, my cousin and I managed to get Kryten's actor to sign a poster for his birthday. I've just bought two cross stitch patterns to make for my dad, one of Mr Fribbles and another of the crew, fingers crossed he likes it.
If BritBox would get Royle Family and the Young Ones, I could die happy. And the Goodies. #1 should've been when Eddy punches Gerard in the face on Saffy's behalf. I did a "Which Young One Are You?" quiz and came out Vyvyan. I love every single one of these series, thank you.
How could you leave out Terrorform, Ep 27 of Red Dwarf, the opening scene where Kryten, after crashing sends his eyeball back to Red Dwarf, the scene with Dave and the Cat at the Computer is sheer comedic genius.
Yes! VoD may have only had a fraction of the amount of episodes as the other shows, but still had so many funny moments! The drunken Christmas mass, Geraldine falling in the puddle, and the numerous times Owen flirted with Geraldine.
As a Gen X American woman; Jennifer Saunders, Dawn French, Joanna Lumley and Julia Sawala are the height of awesomeness. I’m not forgetting about June. Absolutely fabulous was really a show that spoke to me because I felt like saffron because my mother was very much like Eddie. I like the young ones and I’ve never seen red dwarf. I love the British original version of the office, and the British version of ghosts. All of which have made their way over to America and I do appreciate a good number of of only British shows. Jennifer Saunders is a God in my eyes.❤
3:24 "to his immaculate knife-slinging skills"...except they're talking about the Riviera Kid, who (even as it is said, you can tell) is a gun-slinger...It's Craig Charles' character who's the knife-slinger
Before seeing this video my only encounters with the young ones where the music videos for Cliff Richard's "Living Doll and Alison Moyet's. "Love letters"
I have truly enjoyed all of the BBC shows that our local PBS station has shipped over the pond over the years. It has been said that great comedy is derived from pain, which the UK has had a deep well to draw from.🤔 Masterful works.
The Great War scene at the end was so poignant that I sat through it and cried my eyes out. It happens every time when you consider what war is. Killing our fellow brothers and sisters. We should be beyond war by now.
I was never particularly a Young Ones fan. Whilst completely getting why it was so loved by people. I wouldn't even have it in my top 100 favourite shows ever. And yet I've definitely watched every episode all the way through at least once. So there's obviously something about it.
WMJUK is all this painful dissaection of classic comedy necessary? Just let it do its brilliant stuff!!! No endless boring pointless commentary needed!!!
As per usual, 75% of the 67 minutes were taken up by the narration's explanations - ruining enjoyment of the clips. The narrator really loves the sound of his own voice.....I won't be watching any more of this channel.

A friend of mine handed Chris Barry a Mr Fibble to sign at a convention. In sheer joy and surprise he shouted "OH FUCK OFF!"
that's brilliant haha
Love to hear that!
A one hour British sitcom video? Someone gets me popcorn!!!
Hugh Laurie getting bashed over and over by Stephen Fry as Wellington is timeless 😅😅
The ending of Blackadder Goes Forth was beautifully sad… I sobbed…
You were not the only one...the ending was deeply moving; a fantastic end to a wonderful series.
Me too, I cried so much watching that
Red Dwarf, Fawlty Towers and Blackadder are fantastic
Yep. Young Ones box set right here. Still wishing I'd bought Neil's Heavy Concept Album back in '84. Long Live The Young Ones! RIP Mayall
The 'Heavy Concept Album' is brilliant. Get in touch and I'll happily send you a CDR copy (no charge!).
@@rikkinadir7979 My friend, you are one class act. I would love to have one and would happily pay you for your trouble-postage, etc. Thank you!!

@@Spiklething This is excellent.
Red Dwarf…backwards land, Cat needing the loo….brilliant🤣🤣🤣

"Keeping up Appearances" is my favourite British sitcom. I always laugh at every joke, and Patricia Routledge was hilarious as Hynacith.
Keeping Up Appearances is my favorite ❤reminds me of my grandma, used to watch it with her 😊
My sister gets annoyed when we tell her she's Hyacinth!
@@just_kos99 lol ❤️

I've always loved the dark humour of Mr Flibble (akin to the Better than Life novelisation) but nothing beats "Good luck, everyone".
45:04 The eagle eyed amongst us will notice Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie, Emma Thompson and BEN ELTON!
I’m Vyvyan too. LOL
The Riviera Kid slings a gun. Brett Riverboat (Lister) slings knives.
How could you have missed the French trip and wine tasting in Ab Fab - best episode
Quarantine is my favorite Red Dwarf episode ! 😂❤ Ab Fab was exactly that ! ❤💯🤣 Fawlty Towers. , one season was not nearly enough ! ❤😢
You know, Arnold is a fantastic swimmer. 🤣🤣
How could you leave out Terrorform, Ep 27 of Red Dwarf, the opening scene where Kryten, after crashing sends his eyeball back to Red Dwarf, the scene with Dave and the Cat at the Computer is sheer comedic genius.
Absolutely one of my faves! "I'm scared" ... "YOU'RE scared?! How'd you think I feel?!" ..... "You haven't seen it!"
Thank you for including the Macbeth episode of Blackadder. It's my favorite one.
They need to do a top ten The Vicar of Dibley moments.
Yes! VoD may have only had a fraction of the amount of episodes as the other shows, but still had so many funny moments! The drunken Christmas mass, Geraldine falling in the puddle, and the numerous times Owen flirted with Geraldine.
3:20 The Riviera Kid's knife skills?.... You sure about that
Yeah, they screwed that up since Cat as The Riviera Kid has a gun as a weapon. It's Lister as Brett Riverboat who has the knives
I think they missed the best comedy series of all time, Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister.
I'd call it one series but absolutely!
The very first seconds showing one of my favourite scenes from Fawlty Towers 😊
Allo! Allo! Are you being served? Keeping up Appearances please

3:24 he’s a gunslinger. Lister is the knife man.
Narrator screw up; Brett Riverboat aka Lister is "knife-man" not The Riviera kid.
Patsy sitting up after the kitchen fire . . . a Sooty moment in two halves : )
Missed rimmers response to mr flibbly comment, "we cant do that, who would clean up the mess."
In the Black Adder, pooh pooh, the Spy didn't exist! It was George sending letters to his uncle!
It was George's nurse Mary who was the spy since she had been reading his letters to his uncle
Dave lister.....ive been eating half the crew....😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great nostalgia trip - but maybe a bit too much commentary.
Oh, God, I’ve never gotten over The Rimmer Experience! 😁
(Yeah, that’s what she said, I know…)
3:24 "to his immaculate knife-slinging skills"...except they're talking about the Riviera Kid, who (even as it is said, you can tell) is a gun-slinger...It's Craig Charles' character who's the knife-slinger
Was about to type this!
I freaking love the fish bit. Solid gold.
Fawlty Towers - Don't Mention The War - you should have included Basil's famous goosestep out of the restaurant, turn and back in!
At 20 minutes - Patsy didn't realise that it was a man cast as her until after the play.
Add Fab, Young Ones, Fawlty Towers... Evergreen classics.
All twelve episodes of "Fawlty Towers" from start to finish.
"OF&H" and other series could make for several videos in a series.
I think "Allo Allo" and "keeping up the appearances" should have made the list. And that is a real shame not having Catherine Tate Show on it, either.
Before seeing this video my only encounters with the young ones where the music videos for Cliff Richard's "Living Doll and Alison Moyet's. "Love letters"
In The Young Ones #1 in the Footlights College team it's not Robie Coltrane on left, it's Ben Elton.
Pretty sure it's Elton Ben

"White Hole", "I want to go to red alert" and "Ahhh, so you're a waffle man!" should be on that Red Dwarf list.
Surprised that Porridge and Only Fools & Horses were not on this list.
I agree with this list mostly but what about porridge, open all hours or are you being served?
Is not a South American outfit, its Mexican. Mexico happens to be in North America, next to USA.
The Great War scene at the end was so poignant that I sat through it and cried my eyes out. It happens every time when you consider what war is. Killing our fellow brothers and sisters. We should be beyond war by now.
Young Ones
Faulty Towers
As Time Goes By
Men Behaving Badly
❤❤❤❤❤❤
AbFab of course
You missed so many good sitcoms.
Looks bleak without Only Fools and Horses

RED DWARF!!!!
only fools and horses and Porridge are up there as well.
Bloody hell, I just shat my knickers❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oh Red Dwarfs super sauve Cat being DWAYNE DIBBLY will never not be hilarious to me
WMJUK is all this painful dissaection of classic comedy necessary? Just let it do its brilliant stuff!!! No endless boring pointless commentary needed!!!
Gunmen won an emmy as well as being nominated.
I think a someone should've gone to tbe Euros dressed as Basil, and e there to sat "Don't mention the War"
"Walter Ray-lee"
No Rising Damp, Rise and Fall of Reginald Perrin, or Ever Decreasing Circles?
I looooove TYO. 😅😅😅😅
I thought the Young ones lived in a shared house
The Benny Hill show
You forgot Bottom
No are you being served?
Who shifted all the dead bodies?
Black books
How sad for me because l have just realised l have no sense of humour.
As per usual, 75% of the 67 minutes were taken up by the narration's explanations - ruining enjoyment of the clips. The narrator really loves the sound of his own voice.....I won't be watching any more of this channel.
This is ridiculously prudish. Spoiled every joke.
It a crme not showing dads army, it aint half hot mum, bottom and so many other shows.
Mix it up a bit. Gave up after it was just Red Dwarf. May have changed, don’t hate Red Dwarf but please…!?
I can honestly say I can't stand John Cleese, he is not funny, he is annoying, irritating, & he has put me off watching many things he is in xx
Do you guys actually do ANY research on your lists? Because you've made about 6 mistakes in the Red Dwarf list alone.
