    I love Langston, he just clocks in, does his job to the absolute best of his ability, then goes home and absolutely refuses to deal with FBC shit until his next shift starts.

    Langston, you absolute chad. Was really kind of surprised how many times in listening to this how many times I nodded and went 'hm, my man makes a good point there'.

      He's an absolute sir! And him talking about having special understanding that nobody else does with regards to Altered Items? He is 100% correct! He absolutely does! There needs to be a new position made within the FBC - Head Consultant on Altered Items - something like that. And Langston needs to be promoted to said position. Basically a position that requires Langston to green light any examination/experimentation performed on Altered Items, cause the way things have been up till this point has allowed for rampant abuse of Altered Items.

    Control may not be underrated, but more people should be playing and talking about this game. So many odd and weird concepts that question your belief of some part of reality, plus the whole mysterious world of FBC itself in the Foundation and Ahti especially brings a lot of questions than answer with all the documents in offices you can read. It's as if this game is unintentionally mock the modern Brutality architecture and its corporate feelingness to it that it almost embraces itself, look at the people at FBC, they are used to weird things like AWE and AO that anything we would consider abnormal would be just another shift for the employees there. They even don proper uniforms and standardized weapons armory that make everything seem a lot more even and organized but in reality the attacks by Hiss is just the beginning, waiting to be unraveled by the previous wrongdoings or mistakes done by its former Directors, succumbed to greed of power, there was even a scientist that didn't believe Trench direction of the FBC and disobeyed his order. Despite this game being a psychological-sci-fi-horror game, it also has a political struggle in which direction either sides would dominate, there's The Hiss, Dr. Darling who we may or may not know may be alive but he only does his own thing before disappearing, there was Director's trench son who defied his own father after having a small understanding of the creatures found in the Foundation, there's Jesse Faden who doesn't seem reluctant to take either side of political beliefs since she was there by pure chance, or was it? Heck, we don't even know if Dylan Faden is her actual brother, we never got anything more about her and her brother more than the Altered event in Brighfalls, for all we know the jesse and dylan may be the by-product of Alan wake , wanting to escape from the darkness , which is also anothe side of the story since the BRIGHTFALLS AWE DLC exposed us that Alan wake may be involved but to what degree remains to be seen. I love this game for its multicomplex of a simple idea that turns philosophical and mind-bending and beyond it's beautiful world literally and figuratively once you dig a little deeper.

      You should use line breaks / paragraphs. Anyway, Control is underplayed relative to its quality, but that's Remedy's own fault.
      The reasons:
      - On the PC, the choice to be a timed exclusive on the Epic Launcher was foolish. Control was made for PC, and then it greatly reduced its accessibility on that platform by not releasing on Steam. Remedy only chose to be a timed exclusive for Epic because Epic wrote them a check. Greed before sense.
      - Because Remedy chose to push the hardware envelope, Control ran very poorly on the PS4/Xbone, and didn't make it to the next gen consoles until two years later. For this reason, the game really needed to be as accessible as possible on PC, but Remedy chose to do the opposite. Super dumb.
      I'm just ranting a bit because I see so many people say Control is underrated or underplayed whenever the game is brought up today, and I see so few noting that Remedy did it to themselves. 😑

    I played the AWE a couple times but I never seem to get the dialogues from 9:55 to the end. I always get the dialogues where he talks about the sectors “racing” each other, his cats, the chips debate, his therapy thoughts, tuba, and the whole thing about Alan Wake. But never the other ones. How do I trigger them in the game?

    Great Job!
    I Think Alfred (Langston´s cat) its a some kind of Altered Item that follow him home.

    • @Tumbledweeb
      @Tumbledweeb 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I have to agree. Although I am hesitant in referring to a living being as an Altered *ITEM*. Consider Fra Mauro, for example; He is categorized as an Altered Item, yet is clearly a thinking individual. Not saying that you're incorrect in using that term, I just think that they really need to recategorize several of the Altered Items, cause many of them shows very clear signs of being conscious and self-aware.
      At the very least, there is something strange about that cat; Langston adores the SHIT out of Alfred, but somehow cannot recall where he got Alfred from? That's not possible. If you love someone/something as much as Langston loves Alfred, you will remember every single detail about said loved one, ESPECIALLY the first meeting moment.

      @@Tumbledweeb well to everyone (including us) except fra and maybe some other people fra is just a empty space suit from the Apollo 14 mission that materialised out of nowhere so its probably classed as an item because it seems to just be a suit and it can't say its not so its best described as an altered item.

    • @Tumbledweeb
      @Tumbledweeb ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @polybius I totally get that, it just seems so WRONG, you know? He's just such a nice person, you know? Can't think of him as anything other than a person.

    • @Beowolf-jy5rc
      @Beowolf-jy5rc ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@Tumbledweeb Im not saying fra isn't a living being with feeling quite the opposite he can feel anger and annoyance (my source is any time you give him the wrong item in "gerbil took the top head") but fra isn't organic like Ahti or the hiss so item is more fit for objective filing for the Bureau than calling it a definitely living entity.

    • @Tumbledweeb
      @Tumbledweeb ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Beowolf-jy5rc They Hiss aren't organic; They're resonance-based.
      As for your objective filing point; I agree 100%! But the categorization definitely needs to be revamped. I'm sure Dr. Pope has got it under.... wait for it...
