What if you guys do a 2v2 where each team builds a base that has a core to defend against RC rockets from the enemy team, with each team having one player responsible for building the RC rocket and the other for the AA turret defense.
Yeah tracking is cool in trailmaker altough its sad that censors are only up to 50 m i habe made a peototype sam missile and o hit a helicarrier with it but after it stopped continuing the developing as it was really hard to launch as it had to be close enough to be able to track
You guys should revisit the torpedoes but using bigger less agile boats at probably longer ranges that more closely track with how torpedoes would probably be used.
yep both using same boat speedcaped to im gonna say 4 propelers. torps can have 6 (thoes suckers are litteral speed) or more and for you to have surface drop racks. the same way it was launched irl
They are using the wrong kind of torpedo for boat attack. Underwater torpedos are for hunting submarines. Boat deck launch torpedos speed along the top of the water and hunt other boats.
I suspect the reason why your torpedo's depth control did not work is because steering help was on for the fin hinges. That "help" slowed down the fin to where it could not react fast enough to depth changes. Additionally, "canard" layout (where control surfaces are at the front) is inherently unstable. That is actually the reason why that layout is not very common on airplanes.
How about a circuit race that requires pit stop refuelling. Yzuei managed to design a fuel depletion and refill mechanism for mid air refuelling recently that was pretty boss and to see you guys battle it out with that caveat would be pretty cool 🤟
you should have made the Torpedo launch above water from the craft itself and let it drop into the water, like it is how usually does on WW2 ships, and you should have made it longer for better weight balancing (irl it’s long just for the fuel for the propulsion), other than that it’s pretty good
@@beargrizzly6897 easier to load and easier to launch the Torpedo, and the Torpedo doesn’t need to resurface to say like 1m above water, it instead would just launch off and sink to the desired depth, and resurfacing can also cause the Torpedo to jump out of the water, like how you can see in the video
@@beargrizzly6897 If it's below the water, the mechanism to launch a torpedo is be much more complex (think submarine torpedo tubes) as compared to a rail or tube system on the deck that just launches them off without needing to open/close any doors and flood/drain the tunnels with water :P
These videos are dope! I know I’ve said this before, but Scrapman’s design skills have been off the charts these days! The builds look crisp!!! Keep it up!
This was a really cool concept! what about doing a sub v boat 2v2 where the sub has a torpedo (can repair) and the boat has bombs and rockets to defend itself. I don't know if/how bombs function underwater, but it would be cool if they did. Also, so that the boat would be able to hit the submarine at all, the sub would have a set speed and low part limit (not including the torpedo), and the boat would be allowed to be more large and fast.
You could try playing a game of tag in the airborne map with 3+ people. You build your own vehicles and then play tag. The tagger gets an amount of rocket launchers (you can decide how many) and if the tagger can hit the others with a rocket launcher or crash into them they get tagged and become the tagger. This is just a basic idea and would be fun with more features, but I can't think of any right now
idea: 4 player 2 teams fight with boats and submarine, submarine have 1 rocket with no lock and a 5 second cooldown to act as torpedos and the boat has 4 rockets with 25% of its lock on ability to act as depth charges, 2 player builds the boat and the other 2 player build the submarine, thes submarine have a max speed of 40kmh and the boat have a max speed of 80 kmh, the ship has a block limit of 400 and the submarine have a block limit of 200, the submarine have a peroscope that has to be out of the water to be allowed to shoot its torpedoes the boat have hud deactivated and is not allowed to put their camera under the water the last team standing wins thats it
You and the other trailmakers players (the ones that you record with) should do a 3v3 or 4v4 where one player on each team gets a form of travel (aquatic, airborne, and land) or a race with 6 or 7 people. It would be good content!
Great video! I loved the torpedo designs. For a future video, how about a challenge where you build vehicles to navigate a complex obstacle course? Keep up the good work!
4:20 I've been waiting for this episode for a while, torpedo's are not easy. 😄 You have to remember that most peoples boats are pretty fast so you need fast torpedo's also. The best I could do was some long boys that could go 100mph.
Agreed. Also, in English, apostrostophe S ( 's ) is only used for possession and conjunction of "-is / -has" For plurals, you should not use an apostophe.
Challenge: Who can shoot down the most Enemy (NPC) planes before being taken out themselves. No planes allowed and the other player is also hunting you down. Best to do around the end game battle, for more NPC flak and planes.
This torpedo battle thing might be a fun idea to revisit on the Race map in the Canal area. Make the boats a bit slower, but make the torpedoes faster and basically treat it like a Mario Kart race where you're always in each other's crosshairs and can only repair at certain checkpoints (such as the bridges)

you couldve built a boat capable of firing all 4 torpedo's at once in a cone shape in front of you from left to right so that his escape was harder every shot
A mine placer vehicle 2v2! No hover, No jump, No Gun/EMP, 20 PowerCore! But 1 engine(not included to the PowerCore count) Max 8 wheel! 10 Mine/Vehicle! Map your choice :)
You guys should do a 1v3. Supersonic Jet (no more than 2 weapon mounts, but any weapon combo is fine, has to be able to break the sound barrier, and maintain a supersonic speed on approach) vs. an Armored Truck convoy (2 defender vehicles, each built for anti air, and 1 heavy, slow, armored truck with no weapons). The goal is to complete as many laps in the new map as possible, furthest one wins. The attacker can repair as many times as possible, the armored truck can only repair if damaged by terrain (or if passing a set checkpoint), and the defender convoy vehicles cannot repair, but can rejoin the convoy from the nearest respawn point. Each of the four has to make a supersonic jet, a rear defender, a forward defender (must be different from the rear defender made), and and armored vehicle with no weapons. This way everyone can have their own chance at each, and see which combination works the best. Hope you see this, Scrapman!
This will be a 4-man coop: ScrapMan's torpedo boat and Yzuei's F-35B Lightning II versus the devs in a large, heavily armored dreadnought. ScrapMan and Yzuei get a certain amount of lives--how many is up to them--, and the dreadnought will only have one, but as a trade off, it's more armored and armed. Anti-air for Yzuei, anti-ship for ScrapMan.
This makes me think of a detach race: 3 laps, large > medium > small. Within the large is the medium and small and within the medium is the small. This is not a Transformer race but a detached race. The outer shell is detached each lap. You could even do three versions of this race: land, sea, and air. With each lap the the vehicles get smaller and smaller while the larger vehicles must contain the smaller vehicles. I don't know if this is too complicated?
Video Idea: Would love to see you both build something bigger. Maybe tiny destroyers with deck guns and a couple torpedoes. 👍 Get a third person if possible
Hi ScrapMan. I always enjoy your videos, but I think you need to try make a season for other sandbox build game, like Main Assembly, StormWroks, etc., these was updated and had some notorious n fun changes and systems added. Keep it up

While trailmakers is a great game, for these types of challenges stormworks would work better with this while also being more detailed and having more opportunities available. Great video either way!
Torpedoes again, but one sub, and one surface boat. Only 1 reload per minute, so you both need more torpedoes, and to be more strategic about firing them.

I think scrapman should check out Mars First Logitics once more. That game would probably be out of alpha and would have experienced a decent amount of updates. I always wanted scrapman to play it. (Like so that we get his attention and maybe leave comments about this too on other videos)
