I think the problem is not teaching us how to improve our oral communication. When someone says "Why you are not able to speak English? Are you not fluent enough?"
Fluent on what? Which one? Writing or Communication?. I am a Fresh Graduate and I could speak on my mind but not out loud.
Ms.Lyqa says "kung marunong ka magsulat ng english, hindi ibig sabihin nun magaling kana rin magsalita" in our school, No one told us how we supposed to be practice our oral skills.

Thank you Coach for this. I've learned a lot. At first, I thought there's no difference between these two words - said/say and told/tell but after watching this video, now I know their difference na.

coach yung sa quiz originally ("whenever I tell, "never stop learning". I hope you hear me.) ang pagkakasulat, ng magkaroon ng space sa itaas naging ("whenever I say, "never stop learning". I hope you hear me.) nasagutan mo coach ng hindi mo namamalayan hehehe, pero tama naman din ang sagot ko "say" nagkaroon lang ng twist sa explanation dahil wala ng papalitan. Napaka laking tulong nito coach maraming salamat!

But still thank you, Coach dahil organized and detailed ang lesson ngayon, Hindi siya ganoon ka-comprehensive katulad ng sabi niyo po pero madali siyang nakuha at marami kang natutunan. Well done, explained and detailed para mas maging simple while covering all the important details sa lesson kaya po mas na-motivate akong matuto. Ang galing lang po, Coach dahil diyan, mas lalo akong ginahan na pag-aralan at sagutan ang Quiz dahil mas pinasimple, detalyado at may advice o motivation pa sa dulo, Hindi sa boring at tedious. Reported speech or indirect quotation kasi yung sentence. Usually, nagbabago ang tense ng sentence to past tense dahil second hand information ito na nakuha nung 1st person (nagsasalita) from the 3rd person (he) in the past. So kahit yung event ay mangyayari pa lang, the sentence still needs to be in the past form kasi the quote was from past.Though mukhang present tense yung "leaving", kung titignan mo yung buong sentence, it's actually in the past progressive tense dahil sa "was". Kung direct quotation siya, the sentence would probably look like this -- He said, "I am leaving soon". Pero since nag decide yung speaker na indirectly i-qoute yung 3rd person, kailangan nasa past form yung sentence niya. Hope this helps.
