  • This road is a 10.1 mile point to point OHV road located in Big Sur. Starts at the Bixby Bridge and ends near the parking lot near Andrew Molera. See firsthand if your car has what it takes for this off road day trip. Cheers

Awesome dude Thanks for sharing...Planning to take my 2WD Sprinter van w/ All terrain tires.... Are there turn around spots along the way in case we have to make a U turn before the entire 10 miles?

Yeah no worries! Yeah your sprinter will have no problem.. and there’s definitely plenty of spots to turn around. Nothing a 5 point turn can’t handle haha

I heard this was an 11 mile detour, about how long does it take?

It took us about two hours but we stopped a few times here and there.

Thanks for posting. Was wondering if it was scenic enough to take my little Prius on the path... Not much traffic I presume!

Hey Karen thanks for the comment. So I was in 2wd the whole time but there were a few spots that I might feel a little bit hesitant on driving a vehicle with limited ground clearance.. some ruts and washout from the rain we got this winter (even though it wasn’t much). Either way I think it’s worth a try :) cheers

@@budchap I might rent out a Nissan Rogue 2022 (ground clearance 8.2in) for road trip. Would this ground clearance be sufficient for this trail? And should I expect scratches on the car from nearby bushes and branches? (And is the trail a one way trail?) Thanks

I would not suggest any tourist to take this road with a rental car...
