Lease rates went up supposedly according to the STEALership and they quoted a payment of $589, I got them down to $429 but that is still very far off from $269!
Chevy dealers normally treat me like a king. But I just had a not so great experience buying a 2025 Equinox EV. By the time I was done I regretted not buying a Tesla for more money. If I ever need service I go to a good dealer, not that one. I like the car and the deal though.
If you have your garage doors setup and programmed with Geo Location they will show up in the camera app where you saw those two buttons so as you reverse you can close your garage.
Fun fact some of us with the 2025 Equinox EV are missing our camera icon entirely even though we have the correct packages and options for it. Thanks to your video I just noticed that so thanks for that.
So you say at 20:20 the usb-c ports on the front are supposed to be the usb link on the screen but mine just charge they don’t work when I wanna play music. Is there another port somewhere in the front that will work?
Music on Spotify or Apple Music can be played via Bluetooth. I have never done it, but I believe someone said they have used a usb flash drive to play music from that. Hope that makes sense.
When hot outside and you did pre condition car, you bring all windows down as you walk to car to get excess heat out before getting in. Do you know how to turn off rab (rear auto braking) when baking with trailer? Some detect connection, wife's Subaru found after 2 years as button only shows up when rear camera turns on but with trailer I never look at camera.
Thank you so much for all the info you share in your videos. I do have a question that I do t believe you’ve answered already. If you have, I apologize in advance. Does the Equinox EV have something similar to Dog Mode or Camp Mode such as Tesla offers? I look forward to your reply.
It does not have dog or camp mode. You can leave the car on for 1 hour. There is also a way to indefinitely leave the car on. When you get in the car before starting it you press the accelerator pedal three times and then the brake pedal. It will say "automatic shutdown off." That would one the equivalent to camp mode.
I’m hoping that car and evse mfg will add an additional schedule option to limit the amount of power used for charging. One of my electric providers has seasonal along with time of day with off peak, mid-peak, peak but also charge more per kw based on how much power you used in the month. Rates are anywhere from $0.07-$0.69 kWh. Charging at the end of the month is usually much more expensive than the beginning of the month.
Thanks!!! I purchased a 2lt this week. When i step in the vehicle it require a PIN code to open the infotainment screen. Do you know is there a way to bypass the code and have the screen come on without putting in my PIN code in every time?
Your videos are very informative! I have a question about the driver display that I hope you can answer. On the (DIC) smaller display there is an icon on the very far lower right side of a car with the seat belt and 3 small xxx’s. You can see it briefly at 2:29 seconds in the video. Do you know what it is for? I can’t find it in the manual. The icon disappears when driving through.. Thanks …
It’s the second row seat belt reminder light. For each seating position a shaded or green light indicates the seat belt is buckled, an X indicates that it’s not.
I’m excited to maybe get this car. I been seeing dealerships change the price of the 2LT to 32k on carfax idk if that’s accurate or not. But I want to wait till the 1lt is released
@@theaverageevthe configuration guide is already available on GM’s fleet site. The LT is very de-contented and none of the trims come with an EVSE. That’s $450.00. Gone the way of Tesla by charging for the EVSE.
Thanks for the video. What subscriptions and costs are necessary to get the same sort of functionality that we could get for next extra cost through CarPlay or Android Auto?
I guess you could argue everything? The biggest asset is the navigation using the live data from your car. I have a feeling GM is going to go back on apple CarPlay eventually, especially since the Honda is doing so well, and it is literally the same as blazer.
Hi I was wondering if you can download video apps so you can watch them while you’re charging the car. The car in question is the one you have the 2024 Chevy equinox ev.

I have had no issues with Chevy Software. The only issues I have had are with A Better Route Planner and Waze. Waze seemed to be fixed when I had left for vacation. ABRP is pretty much useless in my opinion on the Chevy system.
The Equinox EV like most modern EVs uses a blended braking system. Turning off one pedal drive(OPD) will NOT use up more of your friction brakes. Outside of Tesla I *think* almost all EVs have blended braking which makes OPD a choice of driver feel, not needed for necessary regeneration
My understanding is OPD will fully use only regen to bring it to a stop. If you’re not using only OPD the blended braking does occur, but it will eventually use the friction brakes when you press on brake pedal. I’m cool with being corrected if that’s not right. My brother was a notorious OPD driver on his old 2013 Model S and changed the brakes one time at 225,000 miles.
On every blended braking system I am aware of, the EV will automatically use regeneration to slow the vehicle to the maximum extent possible. The only time blended braking would ever use friction brakes is if you jam on the brakes(emergency) our you brake extremely heavy outside normal parameters(maybe towing a heavy load?). Under normal driving the friction brakes would only engage at stop to "hold" the vehicle. OPD really only substitutes a braking feel(like a golf cart) vs a coasting feel. For most people there will not be any difference in regeneration or brake wear. This is very different from the Tesla type braking system...

I have to reload my playlist EVERY TIME I get in, or it just defaults to playing everything on the stick - and better do it before you start driving. There seems to be no way to save playlists to your favorites, either, as you could in older GM infotainment systems. This feels like a regression, even if my previous vehicle had some buggy handling of playlists (sometimes, a track would get caught in a death loop because the infotainment system would forget the rest of the playlist) - the old system at least let you favorite playlists, tracks, or artists.
