Thanks everyone for the comment and views. I already put the engine together and it's running great, I have a short I uploaded a while ago of it running. Got the footage recorded but been busy with stuff around the farm to edit it. Sorry for the delay of part 2!
Hey Rowow, I appreciate your video man! I am in the middle of doing a complete rebuild of a Universal M5411, which is a marinized Kubota, 2 cylinder, z500 but your video is applicable. Looking forward to part 2. - thanks again.
I only replaced the pistons since mines is in perfect tolerance. But yes they have a oversized kit available. In my opinion if you are going to get a bore job done might as well replace the sleeves
Great video!!! Can’t wait to see the assembly!!! Question: is it worth learning how to rebuild these? I have 4 Reefer trailers that use these type of engines. I’ve been thinking about learning how to rebuild them.
Already got it assembled and ran it works great. Uploaded the short just need to edit the video together on assembly. But yes its definetly worth rebuilding these. Its to cheap and simple. Biggest "issue" is getting the timing on it right. But with kubota's its alot easier than other type of engine timing system and almost impossible to mess up
You can get a spare engine then rebuild it. Whenever a trailer has a bad engine swap it out and rebuild the old one. Meanwhile it can operate as an air compressor and generator for your shop.
Thanks for the video, Question for you or anyone. Do you know what would cause this. I bought a 2006 Kubota M4900 with only 468 hours. I think the hours are right as all of the linkages and pedals are like new. It has a tick in the engine if it is setting down hill a little, hot or cold. You can move it slightly up hill and it will stop ticking and sounds great. You can also take the loader bucket and raise the front slightly above level and it will quit until you let it back down below level. It is not the hydraulic pump, it is in the engine. I have changed the oil and filter twice. I added oil treatment, I adjusted the valves twice. I have put 200 hours on it and it hasn't improved. It's like when you raise the front end a little it moves the oil to the rear of the engine and stops the ticking. I suspect someone has worked on the engine for some reason and maybe left something out that may deflect the oil from going to the front of the engine too far. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks very much. Looking forward for a reply.
I really doubt its actually from the engine. I suggest buying a automotive Stethoscope. They sell it at harbor freight, auto zone, amazon, etc. and probing around the engine to figure out exactly where its coming from. Most likely something is hitting against the fan is my guess. Ive seen some really random/unpredictable things to cause stuff like that.
Voy hacer mantenimiento el tanque de combustible, primero tengo que sacar el motor y de allí el tanque, pero , tengo un problema, el tanque está como si faltará sacar algo, me podrán decir que más me falta, los agradeceré siempre, gracias.
its a tutorial video. Could you suggest which parts I could do better in. Some parts I did talk alot as I was working in the florida summer sweating and tired to think how to talk shortly

Second part up! More to come soon.
Thanks for making this vid. I'm in the process of doing the same thing and this is very helpful
did you install the piston sleeves? do you know if the engine can be bored out 0.5mm or do you just have to install the sleeves?

Hey great video question the overhaul kit you bought did it come with the gaskets for the oil pump and alternator side
Yes but some don't. It's a hit or miss sometimes. Imo just use silicone if they don't. Works better anyways
Thanks man red rtv silicone is geat to use @Rowow
is this good engine? i always must warm him to easier starting in my digger hitachi?
I have a short/vidro of it running. Very good easy to start. I'll make a video on putting it back together next month.
@@Rowow without pusch heating? never? in cold winter?
@@damirivancic4964 idk I'm in Florida.
Are these rebuilt kits on eBay good quality? Are all the same or should take care of something?
The 3 ive gotten have all been amazing. Maybe missing some gaskets but otherwise great.
I need a crankshaft for a d905. Do you have any recommendations on where to find a good used crankshaft
simply google "D905 crankshaft"
lots of brand new ones for $550
dont go with used. Spend a little extra and get a good brand new one
Are the orange seals and the washers you remove suppose to be rubber materials?
Which part of the video?
@@Rowow around 24:00.

Do you sell D1005 rebuilt motors? I have a core if so.
I dont. They are really easy to fix up as you see though.
@@Rowow I’ll ship you mine and rebuild it then lol.
