IMO the most obvious and important factor in the WS will be the strength of the starting pitchers on both sides as far as how many innings they can get in addition to how dominant they are of course. If NY can manage to get a few runs on the board early an make the L.A. pitchers work harder than they'd like to and drive up their pitch counts in the process which is something that has worked out well for them in the past, it would cause them to over rely upon their pen which is not ideal for them.
I remember the Braves were heavily favored in 1996 on the strength of their rotation and offense. After the Yankees lost the first two at home it was considered over by a lot of people. Then the Yanks took four straight. Different times, different teams but anything can happen, just sayin. I think Yankees in six games at most.
Hi Jason! My take: For the Yankees to win: Strong relief pitching; clutch hitting risp - bottom half of our lineup . RISP: Dodgers batting: .316; Yankees: .176, thats fact. Lets Go Yanks, they cannot blow opportunities like they have during the year.
Yes, whoever plays better will win! 😆 But the actual key for the Yankees is starting pitching -- a} it means we're keeping their offense down, and b} it keeps the bullpen fresh and they'll outlast the Dodger's pen Cole's start tonight is the pivotal moment in the series -- it will dictate the direction the series goes
@@markw-2025 technically, a starting pitcher let us down last night -- that is not the time to use a guy who hasn't pitched in 5 weeks, and doesn't normally relieve, and he pulled Cole out too early
This’ll be a fun series. Was a bit surprised they took Berti off over Dominguez or Grisham but I guess it’s due to matchups and the Dodgers not having many LHPs. I figured after how gassed the bullpen was in the ALCS, they were going to add another arm. Let’s hope we can win #28 and at least split in LA. P.S. Suzyn Waldman checked the outfield wall to make sure it’s safe and Judge proof.
@@161riverave.4 I guess I would’ve like to see Berti get some time at 1st or 3rd against lefties. Jazz offensively hasn’t done much lately and some ABs have looked really bad. I don’t want him benched just occasionally pinch hit for.
Grisham instead of Berti a head scratcher. Berti impressed at 1B, Rizzo still questionable, and Berti maybe best base runner. Seems Boone gambling for Grisham, Waldo power over versatility, sign our offense a concern?
Yankees in 6. But gotta give the pen an extra buffer, hope wells jazz and judge come alive. As cali men judge and big g gonna dominate in LA. Dodgers hit Cortes hard, prob an innings eater role. Pen is our liability, gotta protect it score early and often . Enjoy

Berti was left off and I can't remember which series Duke Ellis was on the roster for DS or CS?
Nestor Cortes will be a major factor in the Bullpen in this upcoming World Series for the Yankees.
Yanks in 6 !!! Happy B Day Soto 👑🇩🇴!! Thanks for the update on the WS Roster. Let’s get it #28!! I Have Soto WS MVP!!!

I'm curious about what role Boone sees Dominguez playing, would he get a start over Verdugo?

@@MoMoMyPup10 I agree! And I hope Judge gets his timing back.
Thank you🎉
Dangerous only having Cabrera to carry all the weight as infield backup, I would have put Berti on the roster over Grisham?????????????????
I believe Jon Berti is off the WS roster
Hope not he’s a right handed bat, good defender, and has speed
@@michaelhelton3805 he got injured supposedly
@@xavierramos1270 that sucks he’s had a rough season injury wise

Can’t believe they left off Berti his speed, defense, and righty bat could’ve helped us
I’m guessing we’ll see Dominguez and Grisham a bit more

Berti hasn't hit squat!
@@brianfleury7964 I think you got Berti confused with Jazz

The Dodgers are the best team against LHPs so that tells you the story.
Grisham over Berti is an odd decision.
Likely because the elite glove and vet bat.
I probably would have taken off an OF off to get Nestor on the roster
No Berti?
lets go 4 more wins
Yankees in 6
Yankees in 7
Yankees in 7 baby🎉🎉
Yankees in 5
It’s going to be tough but I believe Yankees have a chance in 7
