This reminds me of when I used to stare at this small orange light in the stream next to my apartment for like a while. I only noticed it the month I was about to move, and for that month i'd stare at it everday for a bit before going to sleep. It only appeared at night and I think it might've been the reflection from the streetlight. It was such an vivid shade of orange though and thats why I liked staring at it I think.
Seeing the album art you start to realize young people in 1930 had the same aspirations about their lives just like we do. But every generation thinks they are different, the first of their kind.
In a way, they’re not wrong. When you think about it, every generation has attributed something new to society, think of technology as an example. Every year, every decade, every century, the world changes. Very slowly.
@@jackattack2421its true that every generation has contributed something, but not every person within that generation. some people are never able to contribute what they thought they could. that makes me sad
20 years ago, i would sit on the couch in my grandpas basement in south rockford and watch toonami until the late night. i miss those nights, and i miss my grandpa so badly
I had been there too man, eleven years ago for me was when my great grandfather passed away. He slept on the couch before i was born. After he passed I would always watch Toonami and many AS programs where he passed away at. Felt a sense of comfort while had been a loner. The dark space was calming. I miss mine too
This ... This is the reason why i love life , Music . And TH-cam seemingly recommends me all these obscure , unheard songs and im all here for it. Life is a Beautiful Gift , Its going a bit difficult for me but i will breakthrough . Thank you for sharing this :)
90s slowcore style emo like this is what got me into the genre. This reminds me of the first time I ever heard Mineral as a sad 8th grader lol. So happy to find this channel.
There’s something to be said about these demo/amateur tracks. They can follow the same progression and have the same vibe at their worst (not saying that’s what this is), but each band will still feel so incredibly unique and provide something different than the other regardless-as opposed to a lot of modern bedroom acts.
Emotion in the music.... Real feelings... The "same vibe at their worst...." Explains it perfectly.. Same progression (the build up of circumstantial angst). Like the uncommon phrase "we all deal with things differently".. I hope that made sense 🙂
I saved this to a playlist I made called “keep fighting”. I am so glad I am revisiting it and getting to soak in this beautiful song once again. One thing that never changes is music, but my life will always change. Listening to this song grounds me for some reason. It’s quite beautiful
I love slow core man. Bands with 20,000 listeners on Spotify, dreamy album covers, getting scared when the singer croaks out suddenly after 15 minutes of instrumental. Fuck mab
The faded image of a home, tarnished just as a memory. Once, someone treasured this place, wishing to remember it so much that they took a picture. They loved Resey- enough to give him a nickname. Now, that nickname is all we know him by. An old photograph is more than a window into the past, or someone's life. It's a window into their soul, and a beautiful one. Someone lived their life, and left a little piece of themself behind for you.
You did a good job, nonetheless. In the mid '90s this kind of music was referred to as "Out Rock", initially, then "Post Rock" in the fanzines I used to encounter. I used to call it, "thank f*ck I'm home" music. Back then all the bars played House and Techno; when I got home I'd listen to Tortoise, Ariel M, Shipping News, Slint, etc... Purl has a similar sound.
sometimes you don't even need to harsh your stomach for those "feelings", it is better just to put that sense fully into your music, let her to sing and scream instead of you

You will get over it, always somebody who has it worse than you, just enjoy the music and know that more music will appear, it always does
it never does
