Super cool product review Ben! Always love seeing new videos come through from you; keep up the great work! I love how you included the “who is this for” at the end! Very informative! ✌️

Great video, Ben. I have two of these beautiful lights at 220B and 2 of the 120B's. I use these for still photography and I have to say they are brilliant, quite literally. :) I highly recommend them.

Have you tried the 120B? 120 watts instead of 220. Might be better for smaller areas.

I haven’t tried but I have other 100 watt lights that work well in small spaces

I just order a Godox UL60 (on sale on B&H)
And was wondering your opinion on the best light box for small spaces?
Right now I’m stuck between the SmallRig Ra-55 or a Aputure light dome mini ii. Is there one you think is better? Thank you in advance!

If you are super confined on space the aputure may be a smidge better I believe it’s a little bit shallower (not as deep) as the small rig. But the small rig is easy to collapse and put away also, so I think either is a good option

@@benjohnsoncreative what about deciding between a Godox UL60 and getting a small rig rc220?
Would you recommend an all metal body and fabless or light output

It is good! I've used it as my key light in my last couple of videos and am impressed with the results

Will it be bright enough for indoor photoshootings of smaller teams like dentists or restaurants? It would be my first light so far.

Should I shell out for the amaran 300c or get this ?

I thought the smallrig has excellent low dimm at 1%. And why complain about to bright when you not at lowest setting?

have it and the biggest issue is the stupid on/off/on/off loud cooler noise

I think the thumbnail for this video would've been better if you were cowering from the light cos it's so bright 😂

I want to see someone use this at 100% power. I don't see why I would buy this over their 120B series

It all depends on the scene and conditions. It’s helpful to balance light if you have brighter sources like windows or are competing with natural light, etc
It also allows you to shoot at a higher f stop, for various reasons, like product/macro photography or even thumbnail design etc

@@benjohnsoncreative Maybe it's just me. Thanks for your videos! Hey, do you know if the Smallrig 220b is compatible with the Aputure Fresnel 2x?
