I have a '24. I've gotten 14 many times, usually 12-13 going 65-74. That said, this thing will do 80+mph easily and get 11 all day! If I hit cruise control at 79 MPH and there's not wind, I can maintain 12 mpg. Wind is the killer, 9-10 with headwinds. All that said, it's still about double my V10 Ford!

Great comments and feedback! Thank you! Sounds like you are having the same experience I had! What a great chassis Ford has and such an efficient and at the same time powerful rig!! It has great passing power and the handling advantage of the all wheel drive system is icing on the cake! Thanks again!

Thanks for the video. I am considering. Purchasing this very same RV, and it’s good to have some real world reports!

We own the same coach and love it. Our first trip was 6,000 miles and 3 weeks round trip from CA to MI. We had the time of our lives and not a single issue with coach. It drives like a dream.

This is the RV of my dreams! ♥️ I can see myself in the 2025 Thor Compass 23TW! Love the reported handling power reports- Great for a 73 y.o. adventure Grandma, and Not too shabby on the mpg's either, a Definite Incentive Bonus! 👍💯👏

I’m not sure if you’ve got trucking under your belt but you’ve got the heart of a true truck driver 67 is a good sweet spot when you need to pass somebody of course pump it up if you can and your vehicle is capable but you hit the nail on the head with that, and as far as time the worst case scenario getting to your destinationover a 500 mile trip might be 30 minutes. Wow you can wait that long at some fast food places nowadays good job man I’m subscribing I wish I had one of those little things but I’m underneath 18 wheels myself right now and getting close to 2,000,000 miles in my career.

thanks for this video, it has helped me realize that downsizing to this would not be what I 'm looking for. I get 10 to 11 mpg at 67mph in my 2005 Airstream 26 foot class a with the 8.1 liter v8 that almost never shifts out of top (4th) gear. Cheers!

Happy it helped. You have a really cool rig that should remain in high demand for years to come. Enjoy!!!

My Ford F150 has a 2-gallon reserve when the computer says I'm at zero miles remaining. I confirmed that by running it until it ran out of gas. Once I hit zero miles remaining, I know I have approximately 40-50 miles remaining.

The stove flame blew up in my face. I don’t use stove. Have a 2024 Thor Compass same as the Gemini I believe.

What is your load? Are you hauling water in the fresh tank? Are you in Eco or Regular mode?

Great questions. It was just me so the rig was not totally loaded down. Most of the time on this trip I was traveling with either a full load of freshwater or 2/3 load. I almost never drove in eco mode...I did a few times to sample shift logic changes but most of the time I was in regular mode/default mode.

@@AdventuringTodayAppreciate it. That was helpful. We have a 2022 TW pretty much stocked with food, tools and such. 3 trips around 6000 miles each, 2/3 Hwy, 1/3 mountains, hills and get around 12mph on 87 octane in Eco Mode except in mountains when I don’t use Eco. Love the Ford chassis and EcoBoost engine but coach not top quality. Can tell it was a Covid build. 😊 oh and I usually cruise around 68 mph. It has great passing power.

Can you show how to shut off & bypass water heater? The manual Thor gives us crap, so is their customer service. Not impressed with Thor. Needs leadership & training. I called in for the 24/7 held & they couldn’t even tell me where generator was. That’s just the start. Too bad Thor isn’t run by Elon Musk or someone that is competent.

Do the tractor and trailers blow you off the road
