- This video is about my experience where my TVS Apache RTR 200 failed to start in between ride. This is a part of my ownership experience with TVS Apache where I try to diagonis the problem and finally find the solution.

Anyone who wants to push Start the engine..u can also this.. put the center stand, have your vehicle in the highest gear possible on your bike! Press the clutch and rotate the rear wheel! Once u see a commendable speed, blip the clutch! Your vehicle would start..

Depressing the clutch is not necessary. Especially when you are alone. The only issue is that you have to push/pull hard the spokes to rotate the rear wheel ✌️✌️✌️✌️
Don't try on RE i don't know what is they do in starter

I faced a similar problem last year. I had installed an additional halogen of 35W in my bike. And as expected on a tour, after switching both the halogens (70W) my bike's battery gave up. Not only that my bike's dynamo coil and the the rectifier was also damaged as the charging voltage increased to 19V in my bike. I got everything replaced. Exide maintainence free battery is good. Also replaced the additional halogen with a 5W LED. Now everything works fine. So do not exceed the rated power delivery of your bikes. Be cautious while installing additional accessories.
Exide battery which comes with TVS bikes are serviceable battery. Please change your battery to Amaron it's a great one I'm also using the same from past 2 year on my Apache. And I'm having lots of electrical auxiliary parts and it's performing really great.

This is a very informative video. I literally loved it. By the way, if I was to suggest you a battery (you have not mentioned in video, but still I want to), then I'll suggest you to go for Amaron. I've used Amaron's batteries in my 2-wheeler & my dad uses it in his car. But the batteries have never shown any signs of deadness like in the above video. The batteries last for the lifetime claimed by Amaron i.e. 60 months with some minor general maintenance.
I have been using it, and I'm happy with it !!!

My battery showed signs of weakness after 2 year of purchasing the bike (Unicorn 160). It was a sealed Exide lead acid battery. I opened the sealed caps, filled some 50-60ml of distilled water and sealed it again using some glue & tapes. It's working perfectly since 6 months.
The thing I want to convey here is that please give your battery a "self maintenance" as soon as it shows weakness. The so called "maintenance free" batteries are not maintenance free at all. The companies just want you to buy a new battery once the old one dries up. Happy fixing. 👍
SAME PROBLEM I FACED ON MY RTR 160...I HAD TO REPLACE THE SPARK PLUG SOCKET...THEY SAID THAT MY SICKET WAR BEING SHORTSERCUITTED DUE TO WATER AND CARBON....

How do we push start, Do you press the starter while pushing?
Need more information on push start. Can we do it on activa also? I just replaced the battery of it 2 weeks ago and it's not starting even by kicks.

happened with me you need to change the battery charger regulatory placed under the backseat i don't know what does that called exactly
my dominar around 1.6 years old had a dead batter all of a sudden. didnt know what was the reason. but now i have replaced the battery and works fine. but how did the battery die all of a sudden is my question. i didnt even get a warning stating that the battery was low.
just to clarify, i had installed a simtac harazr module and an upgraded horn which pull barely any vlotage when used.
Same thing happened to me few days back on my p220.. without any hint it stopped working and left me stuck in middle of somewhere..as p220 is equipped with the stock exide freedom wet type battery..I called my mechanic he said it might be the issue of low water level..so I charged it..and it's working as new till now...it's already 40 months of age..I am wondering whether I need to change it soon or not???

Same thing happened on my 10 month old FZ25. Died randomly some 250km from home.
The battery was dead and charging didn't help, as the voltage went to 11.2V.
Had to replace the battery eventually. Switched to amaron as all my vehicles have failed randomly like this with the stock exide after just 1-2 years.
My exide gell type battery on 220f is also facing same problem. And my charging system is also working so now what should is do?
The battery on rtr sucks...entire section below the battery of my bike is completely rusted....I want to replace this excide battery asap...waiting for your next video to find a good gel type maintenance free battery..
Get a AMARON maintenance free battery.

buddy if your bike breakdown in middle of a ride you don't need to push start it..just put the bike on center stand put the gear in 3-4gear just rotate the rear wheel it will start..I assure it will work 💯 percent 👍most your videos are usefull keep doing..I also want that charger where can I find it. does it available Amazon
Try this,
You can put the vehicle in centre stand and shift gear to 4, then rotate the rear wheel using your hand(generate as much as force you can). Be Careful with hot exhaust and chain guard.

I faced similar issue but even worse than this with my RTR 160 1 year back which had Exide battery and the motorcycle was just 6 months old.I was waiting for someone and switched the bike off later after 5 minutes when i started my bike the instrument console was restarting every 3 sec automatically due to which i couldn't start my bike even with kick start.I took bike to tvs service center and they checked that the battery water level was low.I have faced many issues with Exide batteries.I don't recommend to use Exide battery it's not true wirthy at all.

Is there anyone who had face a noise form the exhaust pipe like two plates are getting hit to each other just after u run bike to 1km ... service centre recommend me to change the exhaust and after changing still I'm facing the problem then they told that there would pe an problem in exhaust pipe i got the exhaust pipe checked by cutting it but the catalytic converter was good enough and it was in good condition from inside ...plz suggest what to do!
How did you push start? Make video on that.
The battery won't give any such issues like weak horn, slow crank...
Only sign is that when you try to crank the console restarts.
Just push the bike some distance like 5-10m and crank it again. Bike will switch on.
I had the same problem where the TCI and startup just gave up .. Its a bad electrical circuit system in the older apaches

Once I faced a totally dead bike .. no sign of display or even with kick rod the bike didnt start at all .. after waiting for 15 mins It started back normally .. I still dont understand what is the problem .. It happens rarely

even i had faced the same problem with this Exide were as my bike was only 10 months old, then I had a bad experience with the Exide battery service center as I visited twice with the same problem but they refused to replace with a new one as I came with them with my bike started by calling tvs road assist they were like the battery is in good condition, I was like are you serious the road assist guy just charged my battery so that I can come to u to claim for a new battery, then I realized it was no use to argue with them then I ended up buying a new battery, now i m using amaron which is worth money n it is going good for the past 4 months.
I encountered the same problem with my rtr 200 , i replaced the battery with amaron, stock comes with a bad exide battery

My issue 4 months back was almost similar. Went to market, came back, turned off my RTR200. Went inside home, kept the bag of vegetables, came out, pressed the start button, lo & behold, bike didn't start. The headlight was fine, indicators okay, horn, brake light, everything fine. And the low battery warning never came up. Took me 10-15 minutes to be sure it was a battery problem.
Removed the battery and to my horror, it was completely dry. Not a drop of liquid. I thought okay, ho gaya kaam. 3 years & this is how the battery gives up.
Still took a chance, filled it with distilled water (later cousin told I should have filled it partially with acid also), push started it and rode for an hour inside city & ring road.
Now after 4 months, this battery is still serving my RTR200.
Lesson learnt: LED light laga lo, steel braided brake hose paga lo, mehnga premium engine oil MOS2 ke saath daal lo, lekin agar battery check nahi karoge to bike start hona band ho sakta hai. Fir baaki sab mehnat aur paisa bekaar.
I have the same bike. Exactly the same problem occured for me(1month ago). I just went to the service center. They recharged my battery. Its all fine now. I dont think we need to replace the battery. Correct me if im wrong
I also faced dead battery in midfle of highway. Run start did the job. Changed battery but same isdue was there. finally when inspect my case propery issue was my RR unit was not charging the 🔋.. so opened the rear seat and chkd the black wire was cut out from RR unit. Just put that back. Jump started the bike kept on running mode for 30 mins. Its 1 year from the incident and no start issue there again.

Same thing happened to me a month ago. Battery was not more than a year old yet gave up. Replaced it under warranty...
Check the plug under the seat
My rtr also faced same problem some time back , its due to poor service of bike , the pillion seat has a plug under it which connects charging system to battery , mine was unplugged after the service ,
I gave the bike back to them and they charged the battery and returned it , i used it for 5 km and battery was dead again ,
Next day they found this and bike worked fine on the previous battery , even my display was blank at that time.

The same flikering thing on the console happened to my bike , but mine wasn't that old just an 11 month old race edition 2.0 ,what Happened is the clams connecting the battery and wire rusted out and broke , an easy way to start your bike rather than pushing it is to put it in center stand engage 5th gear and pull the wheel as hard as you can the bike will start , thats what i did
The other day I was at the service center, I over heard the manager fighting with the supplier for batteries as he had to replace batteries which were available for selling due to many complaining of dead battery. So it's a known issues I guess.
How many years did this battery last?
Had the same problem on my rtr 160 4v. Went to service center and asked for replacement. After about a month i got a replacement and the battery was drycell type. charged me 300rs extra for drycell battery
2-3 weeks beck i had a same issue i rechared the battry with SMPS and its works fine but again after 2-3 days same problem occcurs so i checked the water level of battry and its on 0 level, i went to battry shop and refilled the battry water it cost me just 20/- now its been 2 weeks all works perfect

Well come to RR310 issue zone.... but in our case it would be charging coil failure but still battery will completely discharge without any warning

Same thing happend with my duke 200 when i was on a weekend ride but i got lucky cause i had friends with me so push start was not an issue . 😀
I think its time for you to come up with a long term review, btw how many kms have you clocked

Bro I have same bike my bikes battery is also getting dead between morning to evening. In morning I came from ride after taking rest in evening when I use to getting start my bike it shows problem same like urs. After that I am trying same to charge the battery but after charge it works half day & it shows same problem. Then I have to change the battery.
Now I bought a copper battery from tontek. It have indicators of battery life & it's a dry battery.. It's good. Must try.

Apache has battery indicator in the display did it light up before giving you any problem and can you explain me what is the purpose of that battery indicator.

I faced the same problem with my battery when my bike was just 1 day old.There is some serious issue with the battery on Apache 200 coz many people are facing this problem.

i also same problem with my tvs ntorq and problem is wiring my ntorq whole wiring replace by 2 times from tvs with no cost
It happened with my friend's RS200, battery had weekend and eventually gave up. After push starting bike will run for some time and then again die because its FI. In the end we got the battery replaced i pushed RS200 from my bike all the way to the battery wala.

It's due to wiring problem or RR unit which recharge your battery
You should go for amaron pro rider battery

Will the gear sensor ever work properly? I get it fixed on every service at TVS but it goes back to not working properly within a matter of days.
I got it changed when odo was 10k. Its done 23k now without any issues.

Got it changed under warranty from TVS ASC itself. If you pay for it, the sensor costs Rs 540 i think
Had same problem on my Nagpur - Bangalore Ride, its just a battery issue. Go for TATA Non maintenance battery they give 2+2 4yr warranty.. Thoda costly h but service bohot better h Amaron se

It happened on my new RTR 200, it because of always on headlights. I gave it to service center.

i have faced this issue on my old pulsar 150(screen flicker as well). It was because of fuse connection and bad relay.
This AHO feature is eating battery life by running front headlamp which consume much power and becomes too hot causing problem to other electricals...best solution is get extra switch and remove AHO
