Mabuhay. I’m Thai . I have been travel in Phil on January 2020. I went to El nido island, Coron palawan Island , and manila (intramorous) , I love all island so much , maybe next time I will travel at Boracay ,Cebu and chocolate hill.

This is what our Department of Tourism fails to see and use as a leverage to differentiate The Philippines to other countries around the world. The Philippines is the sole Hispanic-Asian nation in the entire planet. Visiting this country will make you feel like visiting a Hispanic American nation and a Southeast Asian nation at the same time.
So our tourism tagline should be:

Learn more about the intricacies and not just the general summary of Philippine pre-colonial, colonial, and post-colonial history, culture, and heritage.
The fact that you suggested Timor Leste as hispanic proves that you need to learn more. Timor Leste speaks Portuguese, the colonial culture was also derived from that of Portuguese culture and not hispanic. (Notwithstanding the history of Roman Hispania)
Hispanic culture, aside from The Philippines, is also apparent in Palau, Guam, The Marianas, and The Carolinas. And if you heed my suggestion to learn more, you'll understand why.
@janjan de vil Portuguese is not Hispanic FYI! That's why Brazil is not considered Hispanic country compared to its neighbouring Latin countries. Hispanic somehow associated with Spain. Portuguese is from Portugal not Spain.
I’m Thai, working and living in Manila for 5 years now. I’m happy to see this documentary which show that they did an excellent research. My friends normally see Philippines differently but I can show them now how nice and well developed this country is.

Watching this makes me feel like I'm a stranger in my own country. I badly need to get out of my bed and explore the Philippines before visiting Thailand hahahaha.
Mee too.. I am stranger in my own country... Not knowing all of these things which can be found in Phil haha... I admired how 360 Thailand feature our country in such a good way. Being true to the good side and bad side.I can say that Filipinos were really like thai's in terms of looks in all Asians countries.
How about start with Panay Island particularly in Iloilo? Hehehe... Come and see our Province and City. Enjoy the scenery, island adventure and syempre the food. :)

Yes Lapu-Lapu was one of the National heroes of our country. He was the chieftain of Mactan, Cebu and defended his lands over Spanish colonizers and defeated the famous navigator Magellan who proved that the world was round.
I had one time traveling in the Philippines, it made me feel warm as home and people are very friendly and down to earth
I went to thailand last february. Thailand reminds me of Philippines except for special designs in their establishments and building. They have distinct design that can only be seen in their culture.
And the people as well, very hospitable.
