"You'll always be my problem." - Ste Aww, that was the most romantic, unromantic line ever. It can totally go both ways. But I'm so glad Ste is helping Bren out. It shows that deep down, aside from the baggage, Ste does love Brendan, even if platonically.
I agree it seems to be true for a lot of people that the more psychotic Brendan is the more they love him. I'm not among those people. I find Brendan more sympathetic at the moment because he's down and suffering and wants to defend the people whom Walker is threatening to harm. It's Brendan's desire to do good that appeals to me. And all the obstacles in the way of his doing good make it a great story.
Heard it like 8 times now. He definitely says, "You'll always BE my problem." I take it to mean a couple things: 1. Ste will always have to deal with the big ol' chunk of his heart that Brendan carved out of him. 2. Brendan will always be a part of Ste's life in some way, shape or form. But yeah, he definitely said 'always be.'
yea I know that is why he wanted to be around Ste to keep him safe. Ste just didn't want to owe Brendan anything but i think Brendan should just tell him hes in danger. yea, i think Brendan does realize Ste is better off without him even though he loves him. Doug is too busy being jealous sadly to enjoy most of it.
yeah i know what u mean, their relationship is just so organic, they really play well off each other with the slightiest little things that know one else notices with each other.i don't know can't explain it .
This make me feel torn...I like Doug and I like Doug and Ste together, but Brendan is being so irresistibly endearing and caring. Maybe they could share Ste. Just kidding
Even if Ste isn't still in love with Brendan, he does love him as evidenced by how quickly he came running when Brendan called, and by him going to the hospital to tell Brendan himself about the engagement. It will always be a problem for Ste and Doug as long as they are in the same place as Brendan. Brendan is never going to let go and Ste doesn't seem like he can either. The relationship in a way is like the Amy/Ste one except Amy and Ste share kids, so they can't cut the cord.
you guys must tired of my comments but I have to say when Ste was like asking him whats up, I just love their moments. he knows him too well, kind of like lecturing him and asking questions. I see why Brendan loves him so much, only person that knows him, the good and the bad (apart for the laters lol) but that he knows his personality if you know what I mean.
Ste saying in a sexy and deep voice, "You'll always be my problem!", had me squealing and howling with excitement. When Bren was being psycho, I could not have been more anti-SteDan but now, I want them back! I should also acknowledge that Doug is insanely insecure but he is a sweetie and he has grown so much. I would hate to see him hurt but, SteDan is destiny!
"I've had a bad week" LOL. D'aaaw: "You're always front of the queue Steven, you know that." "In the bedroom..." LMAO. Too much adorable! Ugh... Walker just STOP. But hahaha! Yeah Ste's shirt is hideous. Brendan takes your sass and throws it right back, "I mean you literally wanted your man didn't you?" and "Talk about taking one for the team." BURN! Then evil Walker... he made Bren cry again because he told him about Lynsey *sobbing* Ste: "You'll always be my problem." ALL MY STENDAN FEELS!
same here! there is something as you say so 'organic' about how they are. you can see Ste can just be his self and same for Brendan. he's not afraid to hurt his feelings lol either, just like a couple that been together a long time.
Yep , that's the problem. His first instinct was to take Brendan home and take care of him and he wasn't thinking of Doug at all in that moment. That says something about both relationships. Noah had the right idea--the only way to get Brendan out of Ste's life is to get away from him. As long as he'll always be Ste's problem, he'll always be a problem for whoever Ste is with. Friends with your ex is fine if your current has no problem with it, but when they clearly do, you have to prioritize.
Is it weird that when I saw Ste's name in Brendan's phone spelled Steven instead of Stephen. My first thought was he spelled it wrong. Maybe it's Brendan's accent or because of Stephen Fry, but I've always thought of Ste as Stephen when it comes to Brendan.
I love Walker. I so desperately want him to get his revenge. I'm sick and tired of Brendan thinking he can get away with threatening and hurting and killing people around him and everyone being okay with it. Also Ste is a huge idiot for (1)bringing Brendan home and (2)not telling Doug about it. Doug could do way better.
The doctor said Brendan needs a confirmed caretaker before he can be checked out of the hospital so early. Brendan is calling Ste to do him the favor of being his "caretaker" so he can leave the hospital. He needs to be out to stop Walker's vendetta.
I'm not wrong about what I continue to hear when I replay it. I think it's highly likely, however, that the script file is right, although I haven't seen it, but you could be mistaken or the file could be wrong. It's also highly likely that the actor said what's on the script file, although he might not have. More likely but not 100% is that Ste's accent and my expectation prevents me from hearing it correctly. *More important* is that if Ste's comment is as you say, then he sees it as a curse.
No you are right. Ste absolutely, definitely says, "You'll always BE my problem". I've listened to it like 10 times and everyone is using it as the new tagline of the Stendan ship on Tumblr.
no one is trying to turn the character into what they want, they had always given an explanation for his decisions, its twisted but he does have good intentions and the fact that he is a messed up character trying to do good is what makes ppl sympathize with him and in aspects can relate. it isn't a matter a credit but only preference that this character is just friggin interesting.
I'm not trying to argue here but what you getting out of this? I replay it many times too and i have taken account his accent and I hear and read same that it's " Be " and also what my opinion is on this line is mine alone, you can't take what I say and change it to suit you're interpretation of what he said.If that is what you think then fine :) but I do not interpret it as you say.
You really need to watch Hollyoaks Later to understand this story line. Click on this channel and you should find it easily among the recent uploads. There are five episodes, 2-3 video clips each. It's well worth it and much grittier, darker, crazier, and more explicit than the regular Hollyoaks.
"he does love him as evidenced by" -Evidence can be interpreted in more than one way. If someone texts you "Help!," coming to their aid doesn't necessarily mean you love them, and it certainly doesn't mean you don't.
5:51 am I the only thought that was so weird to hear? its like he was trying to be all menacing and act like he doesn't care like he used to pretend and it just comes off flat, you can hear in his voice he's tired.
okay okay okay okay, Brendan in the wheelchair...Ste helping him out...am i the only one sensing a Rear Window theme here? and now Ste brought Brendan into the house with him and Doug...story is just going to write itself from here.
Bren, get well already and kick Walker's ass. Then take your boy back. "You're always front of the queue Steven, you know that" "You'll always be my problem" Stendan, anyone?
yea true, nothing is wrong if he wants to help Brendan but its clear Doug has a problem with it but also Doug making his insecurities getting in the way makes it harder for Ste to just be upfront without him getting jealous and upset. He should have called Doug first but it does say something about their relationship .
Pretty sure Ste is going to have double the "Thank You" Doug was expecting to get (which I assume is for Doug letting Ste get Brendan from the hospital) and it will be super awkward with Brendan living there while Doug is receiving them (not that it wasn't going to already be awkward).
Have you not been paying attention to the last few weeks? Bren's been on a redemptive arc for a while now. He's long since laid off the stalking Ste or manipulating him. Their interactions have lacked that menace for a while now. Then last week on Later, the whole stuff with Joel, Walker, and Cheryl seeing the sick freak side of him? AND coming face to face with his past and actually admitting it? He's changing, he's growing - finally. His motivation here is to protect Steven, end of.
"you'll always be my problem" awwww
+Nur Sabrina Yeah it was a lovely line.Sweet.
I think that is my all time fav line....'You'll always be my problem'.........its says so much without actually saying it.
omg hahaha "you're always front of the queue. in the bedroom." lololol i love this.
"You'll always be my problem." - Ste
Aww, that was the most romantic, unromantic line ever. It can totally go both ways. But I'm so glad Ste is helping Bren out. It shows that deep down, aside from the baggage, Ste does love Brendan, even if platonically.
"You're always front of the queue Steven." I LOVE STENDAN!
Thank you so much for posting!! Loved Ste's line" You'll always be my problem." Towards the end
'my week just got worse'...no kidding Brendan.
It's so refreshing to watch this story after a long day at work. Thanks ESF :-)
Wow, Walker is amazing. He's such a great villain.
i think this hole situation with Brendan/Ste/Doug in one flat will be very funny. Cant wait to see it!
And all the obstacles in the way of his doing good make it a great story.
you'll always be my problem is like there way of i'll always love you
Heard it like 8 times now. He definitely says, "You'll always BE my problem." I take it to mean a couple things: 1. "you'll always be my problem" T-Shirt reference ...Yep I'm getting it printed right now
thank you so much for posting emmettscanlanfans :)
yea I know that is why he wanted to be around Ste to keep him safe. yeah i know what u mean, their relationship is just so organic, they really play well off each other with the slightiest little things that know one else notices with each other.i don't know can't explain it .
This make me feel torn...I like Doug and I like Doug and Ste together, but Brendan is being so irresistibly endearing and caring. Maybe they could share Ste. Just kidding
Yes !!Thank You !! This show is like a novelyou just can't stop reading. I just don't want any of the characters killed.
Brendan loves Steven Always 💙💙
Oh shazam! lol Poor Doug. Seeing a wheelchair bound Brendan must have just made his day. ;-) I'm loving this storyline.
ya I check the script thingy "it's you'll always be my problem"
i love walker...
Even if Ste isn't still in love with Brendan, he does love him as evidenced by how quickly he came running when Brendan called, and by him going to the hospital to tell Brendan himself about the engagement. ya I check the script thingy b/c I downloaded the episode it's " you'll always be my problem"
the other person got it wrong, I check the script thingy "it's you'll always be my problem" so you are right.
Well, I can think of at least one character I wouldn't mind kicking the bucket & it ain't Brendan..
"I've had a bad week" LOL. D'aaaw: "You're always front of the queue Steven, you know that." "In the bedroom..." LMAO. Too much adorable! Ugh... Walker just STOP. But hahaha! I feel so sorry for Walker...he is literally a dead man walking. :(
You would have thought they'd get a new door with hardcore locks or some kind of security system by now.
Wow, you really have it out for Doug on all of these videos.
it is going to be like a warped twisted episode of threes company
guys, I don't think Ste was thinking when he brought Brendan over, it was at the moment he made the decision but yea he should have told Doug.
"you'll always be my problem" awwwh makes me miss stendan even more
I check the script thingy "it's you'll always be my problem" so the person is wrong.
same here! there is something as you say so 'organic' about how they are. you can see Ste can just be his self and same for Brendan. he's not afraid to hurt his feelings lol either, just like a couple that been together a long time.
You really think, i care about that runt.
I love how Brendan can lie, and tell the truth at the same time 😅
Thanks for noticing my few-days absence.
(I think that's partly what you meant.)
Anyone noticed when Doug was walking that he has an hourglass shape?! LOL
haye ste.... how he can do this to Doug... is not fair...
I puzzles me how random people can just get in and out of that house when they want to.. Silas, Walker... :P
well put. I said the same thing earlier but you phrased better. regardless of the outcome, i will always love stendan.
Oh! Your'e right !! I re-watched and Bingo...I saw it. Thanks !
love BB even in pain he does not ose his sarcasm and sense of humor. lmao poor Doug.
Lol, that ending
I love Walker. I so desperately want him to get his revenge. I'm sick and tired of Brendan thinking he can get away with threatening and hurting and killing people around him and everyone being okay with it. Also Ste is a huge idiot for (1)bringing Brendan home and (2)not telling Doug about it. Doug could do way better.
Omg I love Doug's eyes
The doctor said Brendan needs a confirmed caretaker before he can be checked out of the hospital so early. Brendan is calling Ste to do him the favor of being his "caretaker" so he can leave the hospital. He needs to be out to stop Walker's vendetta.
i think he said " no they haven't"
i love Walker !
I'm not wrong about what I continue to hear when I replay it.

What did Brendan say at 1:48, when Ste ask him, What does he want?
I'm not trying to argue here but what you getting out of this? Walker and Brendan would have made one hell of a team, except Walker is an absolute loon.
Doug's face at the end is priceless. Bring on stendan!
LOL i know right. i found this so hilarious, poor Brendan have to be there while see them together lol and Doug isn't enjoying this either.
You really need to watch Hollyoaks Later to understand this story line. Click on this channel and you should find it easily among the recent uploads. There are five episodes, 2-3 video clips each. It's well worth it and much grittier, darker, crazier, and more explicit than the regular Hollyoaks.
He says ''So you can have something else to hold over us. No, I don't think so''
thank you
Ste and brendan are MEANT for each othr.
2:36 xD haha I always think this is funny :P
the ending was hilarious
Ste grinning "you'll always be my problem". =D
there's that dark SOB I adore.
also check the subs, "it's you'll always be my problem" but again either way what i said applies
Brendan is being SO CUTE lately!!
"he does love him as evidenced by" -Evidence can be interpreted in more than one way. If someone texts you "Help!," coming to their aid doesn't necessarily mean you love them, and it certainly doesn't mean you don't.
Hahahahaha. You have a keen eye XD
what did Ste say at 3:33 i can't figure it out :(
thank you futureidol83
5:51 am I the only thought that was so weird to hear? its like he was trying to be all menacing and act like he doesn't care like he used to pretend and it just comes off flat, you can hear in his voice he's tired.

LOL!!! I love them all for their performances but this is funny and scattalogically poetic.
Yep, and "you'll always be" implies past, present and future to me.
touching brendans hand, saying ''you'll always be my problem'' ste is just being friendly but obv brendan is thinking he means more..
Bren, get well already and kick Walker's ass. Then take your boy back.
"You're always front of the queue Steven, you know that"
"You'll always be my problem"
Stendan, anyone?
yea true, nothing is wrong if he wants to help Brendan but its clear Doug has a problem with it but also Doug making his insecurities getting in the way makes it harder for Ste to just be upfront without him getting jealous and upset. He should have called Doug first but it does say something about their relationship .
Aw thanks :*
Hey...how come Brendan never killed that crazy doctor who killed Lynsey?
oh jesus what now. where the hell is this going to.
i really love him, so sexy, confidente, intense and mysterious that give me chills sometimes. lol
I think he was trying to see if he could stand up or walk ???
he did because it is only way he can keep watch over Ste. Being in the apt he cannot do anything.from there.
I could come up with a little when he talked about watching Lindsey die.
I think it was because Walker basically just threatened him, so Brendan done that so Ste would be near him and out of Walker's danger.
Doug is a good actor..actually brilliant...
Actually Ste does say" You'll always be my problem." haha I know it can get a little confusing
Pretty sure Ste is going to have double the "Thank You" Doug was expecting to get (which I assume is for Doug letting Ste get Brendan from the hospital) and it will be super awkward with Brendan living there while Doug is receiving them (not that it wasn't going to already be awkward).
gay or not, walker couldn't possibly act any more camp
Ste said, "You've always been my problem."
He didn't say anything about the future.
Have you not been paying attention to the last few weeks? Bren's been on a redemptive arc for a while now. He's long since laid off the stalking Ste or manipulating him.
