      Not only did he nail it, but he nailed it while playing it really fucking fast! This version is definitely a handful of ticks faster than the original studio version. That's a lot of fucking notes to fit in a short amount of time 😂

    Gotta love these casuals critiquing a band that's been in existence for 50 years in many instances longer than they've been on the fucking planet. They're doing great on tour ...better than ever with a masterpiece of an album. If you no longer like them don't bother to comment because nobody wants to hear it. I know they're not like they were in the 80's but I more than appreciate they're still around creating and playing great music!

      Impalaman1968 Yep I totally agree. They did a great job no doubt. I was in row A tier B. Not actually putting it down. But it is amazing the level of skill and sound K.K. And Glenn had. I went to this show last night and spent $52 for a ticket, and Priest was fucking incredible! I went to Iron Maiden's Book of Souls show, and Maiden needs to take some lessons from Priest on how to do a concert!!! Priest fucking killed it last night playing songs from Firepower and " a lot" of classics, Maiden put me to sleep! Priest is the true heaviest band in the British metal scene. Glenn Tipton, we love ya man. Get well and sit on your metal throne, you truly earned it!!!

    • @samsmith3025

      What was the issue with Maiden?

    • @666mathew
      @666mathew 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Are you kidding me?Take what lessons? Rob Halford needs to take lessons from Bruce Dickinson's advice on not relying on a teleprompter. Bruce is a frontman that entertains the audience. Rob is constantly crouching down, and rarely looks at the audience.

    • @metaljew4456
      @metaljew4456 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Matt Evans : Unfortunately Matt one does not ever “get well” from Parkinson’s disease. As a matter of fact things just continue to go downhill until it just takes over your whole CNS. Don’t mean to sound negative but the facts are the facts. Glenn has probably had Parkinson’s for 10 years easy. It’s a slow but deliberate debilitating disease. I am thankful that Judas Priest continue. It’s definitely not the same at all and never will be but it just shows you how dedicated Rob is to his craft. He truly is THE METAL GOD.

    • @mattevans3871
      @mattevans3871 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      666mathew Obviously you never saw Priest in the 80's. Halford never crouched over to sing and blew the audience away with his 5 octave singing voice and fired the crowd up big time. The man is 70 and had to crouch to use his diaphragm and hit the high notes. Watch Priest Desert Plains on you tube Screaming for Vengeance tour, and you'll see what I mean.

    • @mattevans3871
      @mattevans3871 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Studio Cottage The issue was that I'm an old school Maiden fan. First saw them in 1982 for their Beast tour, I was 14. I saw them multiple times afterwards citing their Powerslave concert to be the best I've ever seen. I went to the Book of Souls show hoping to hear some killer classics...the songs that made them a mega metal band, and they failed. 5 classics is all they played, and the rest was book of souls which to an old school fan isn't that great. Many fans around me were saying the same thing, " when are they going to play their killer tunes of the past?" It was just a very big disappointment

    Rob Halford:I admit the teleprompter drives me crazy. I don’t know if it’s because of getting older or if I can’t handle the mass of information anymore. I have increasing difficulties to remember song lyrics. That’s a severe problem, which is currently [being] medically checked up. I’m bothered myself about being dependent on auxiliary means like a teleprompter, because certainly I’d like to move around freely on the stage - but I’m simply afraid of running from one side of the stage to the other and thereby forgetting a line of the lyrics. That would be a catastrophe!

    I don’t think rob is using a telepromter, maybe he’s been over like that to reach high notes, for instance maybe it’s a breathing technique. Painkiller is fucking hard song to sing regardless. But add age into the equation and that’s probly why he’s bent over, breathing techniques

    • @ItsNotaTuhmah
      @ItsNotaTuhmah 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      On the contrary, it's harder to sing like that. It's far easier looking up with the arms above shoulders. He's reading the lyrics probably.

      He's been doing it like that since 2005 though, specifically during Painkiller. Might just be a bad habit. Or something like a dramatic pose.
      I don't think (and I'm pretty sure I read it in an interview somewhere), that he looks at the teleprompter during the regular songs, like Breaking the Law, Painkiller etc, but he does when they introduce a rarely played, or new song, into the set.

    Not saying anything about the 2 guys' work and performance, they did an amazing job, each one of them in a very short time. But more 50% of Judas Priest was the duo of Tipton and Halford. I Love Priest, and I Love Rob. They are still singing and playing great! My only issue is that I wish Rob didn't spend so much time staring at a teleprompter. nao sejas deficiente ... tudo bem nao tens os fundadores e o duo mais iconico de guitarra mas e a ultima tour de uma banda que criou e defeniu um genero ... para alem disso o richie faulkner e o andy sneap sao grandes musicos

    Yep, it's really sad that Halford lost a lot of his vocal ability. He's still the Metal God no matter what people say about him. As much as we loved Ol' Yeller, sometimes you have to shoot the dog for its own good.

    like i said before. this is not judas priest. 2 main songwriters are missing. its like a tribute band with 1 remaining decent member active. the same with slayer.its not the same without lombardo and dave
