Goodbye, Mr. James Earl Jones. Movies, television, voice acting, theater. You could do it all. Your voice is unmistakable and will be missed but not forgotten.
Everyone assumes the Dictator was going to follow through with his "cleansing". There was a chance he could have changed his mind. Also, maybe he would have died naturally in hospital.
As someone who has lived in a dictatotship her whole life I can tell you something: Chase didn't kill a man. He saved millions of inocent ppl. He didn't became a murderer but a hero. 🤍🥺 Cameron didn't deserved him at all.
I love how they handled both Dybala and Chase in this arc. Making Dybala a realistic dictator without him being a cartoon was refreshing, and Chase doing what he did but it eating away at him was well done.
Foreman: “You think you can kill another human being and have no consequences for yourself?” Well he had them. This was the start of the end of his marriage
Nah chase is definitely wrong in killing his patient. If that happened in the real world he would be jailed for atleast 10 years plus he can never wear his doctor's coat again.
@@Prince_mt12 yeah I guess. But wouldn’t it be a worthy sacrifice? Sacrifice his doctors licence and go to jail for the rest of his life to save the lives of millions?
I saw James Earl Jones as Othello and Christopher Plummer as Iago on stage in about 1983. What a great performance and I remember it well all these years later . Jones is an American icon.
6:27 I honestly agree with Chase. Genocide, the ethnic cleansing of an entire people, is more evil than taking the life of a singular person filled with malice.
@@s.f.f.f.t11 Yeah. Me too. I often think of the death penalty. I am for it in particularly heinous acts, especially involving children, but if I were asked to be the one to administer the drugs, or pull the lever, etc…I couldn’t do it.
"I'll love you no matter what" "I killed Dibala" "We're breaking up" This is why you don't make rash promises. Or if you do, at least follow through and take your lumps
I was watching this clip a few days ago and now the news of his passing have just come out. He was brilliant in this role and as Darth Vader. He'll be sorely missed. RIP.
If you had a choice to kill one person, or let that one person commit an ethnic cleansing, what would you do? This is like saying that you wouldn't kill Adolf Hitler because he's "human." You wouldn't? It's more ethical for one man to die rather than multiple thousands.
They actually got married and divorced in real life. A later episode i think lockdown [because a code pink(baby is missing)] Chase asked if Cameron ever loved him. That whole scene was pretty true.
This was a hard decision for chase, he as a doctor swore an oath to to his best to save his patients, but saving this patient would mean the pain, suffering and death for thousands of lives, there was no right answer here, he had a choice to kill one man and save thousands or save one man and kill thousands of others.
@@onawal931 , the news headlines of mentioning millions of innocent civilian lives dead would give Chase permanent PTSD if he quit, so yes even though Cameron thinks he did the wrong thing is I myself along with Chase knows he did the right thing.
@@headspaceaudio7745 I really hate that phrase, intent doesn't mean anything but a few chemicals in your brain at a certain point in time. You can have the best intentions and mess up and kill someone, it doesn't take away from the action that happened just because you felt a certain way. Likewise, Chase made a rational decision because he felt a certain way at that time. Regardless if it was due to malice or accident, the net result was positive. Sometimes ethics take a backseat, especially when action needs to be taken. A cop wouldn't think about the ethics of killing someone if they have a clear shot and the person is threatening other people's lives, or killing a kid that is about to go into a school with a gun. There is a time and place for ethics, and a time and place for a lack of them.
@@Natsukashii-Records The dynamics are certainly different because who had way more karmic baggage? It was Chase because not only did he had to deal with getting caught by the hospital for an unethical procedure, he had to go through trying to hide this information from the ethical princess in camren lmaooo. At least in Foreman's case, he killed someone by accident. So in the grand scheme of things, it's intent vs no intent in regards to taking someone's life.
@@headspaceaudio7745 That was on Chase getting emotional and not having the resolve he needed for the action he took. Most people wouldn't bat an eye and wouldn't need to share or tell anyone about it.
16:00 - In my opinion, this priest was pathetic. Not all lives are sacred. Not all lives are equal to others. There are those for whom words will not reach, and whom need to be dealt with if it would otherwise mean the loss of innocent life. What was 'sacred' about Chase's decision is that while Dibala was taking life for his own interests; Chase was doing it to PROTECT life. That's how I know that he wasn't on any kind of slippery slope. His desire to protect life was what moved his hand, and its what would have moved him to continue to save life as a doctor. While it might not be able to be considered a "pure" thing, it was not the wrong thing in my opinion. Those who are intolerant in allowing those to live their lives in peace forfeit their right to their own. Chase didn't need that priest's forgiveness, or God's forgiveness. As far as I'm concerned, given the circumstances, he didn't do anything immoral or requiring forgiveness.
Rest in Peace, James Earl Jones.
You were a legend. You will be remembered forever.
