UC Davis is my dream school and the reason(s) I think is the amazing campus, it’s so beautiful and brings you to the outdoors😍 I also obviously was attracted to it because UC Davis is #1 in Veterinary Medicine, which I want to pursue. Another reason I think is very cool about UC Davis is the dorms (mainly Tercero). UC Davis is a very diverse and beautiful school and I love it so much!
Similar situation, but i felt at home at UC Irvine. UC Davis was just way to close to home, UCSB, loved the campus but far away from everything and UCSD, man, its way too south.
My top choices are UC Berkeley, UCLA and UCSB (where I was waitlisted), but with the chances not being in my favor of getting in I'm trying to decide between Davis (in which I have already been accepted) and UCSD (where I am still waiting for a decision). I'm kinda leaning towards Davis due to the greater sense of community I sense from the school. I'm also touring the 6th so if that goes well it will be a high probably of me attending.
I'm a CC student at least a couple of years away from transferring, but UC Davis is definitely on my list (depending on what I want to major in, which I haven't quite decided on yet, I'm considering Animal Science or a similar field, as I love animals, which UC Davis would be perfect for). I've visited the campus twice and it is a beautiful place. Good food too, though I've heard UCLA is the best. I know their veterinary school is one of the best in the world. For sure I want to at least visit again.
I'm a CC student transferring this fall! Still waiting on UCLA, but I got into UCSB, Berkeley, and Davis. I automatically eliminated UCSB because I prefer the areas of Berkeley and Davis, but I think I'm leaning towards Davis since I got in with regents :)
I am really considering Davis since it’s the best school for my major but distance has been an issue since I live really far from the school and that worries me. So far though I really like what everyone has to say about the school and I’m leaning more towards it every day.
I got accepted at Davis recently and I found your channel doing research haha. It’s pretty intimidating right now and your channel is really helping me cope with it haha :) I’m gonna be there on decision day , is there any chance that I might be able to meet you there ?
I was accepted to UC Davis and UCSB, as well as waitlisted for UCLA. I've already decided not to go to UCSB because they don't offer me much financial aid and the $18k per term that I would have to pay is not worth it. I'm currently debating between accepting the waitlist offer from UCLA or attending UC Davis!
hi, I burly watched your videos of UC Davis. I do want to go to UC Davis and I want your advice, how do you get in, like whats the best ways to get in?
Currently working on readmission (switching from animal science to design). I initially decided on UCD after a campus tour and doing my own research on campus organizations. 17-year-old me was really drawn to intramural quidditch and the Harry Potter Alliance (I'm 99% sure it's the club mentioned at 7:31). And I've found cycling more fun than walking because the soles of my shoes don't wear out so easily!
I got accepted as a Design major and I've really been stuck between Davis and SJSU but I'm leaning towards Davis just because of the community there is and also SJSU is really a commuter school and I can't deal with 40 min drives from my house every morning 😅 I'm really excited to come (if I do teehee) in the summer!
@@natalied5130 oh my gosh hello I haven't heard of anyone else applying for design other than myself LMAO. I've visited campus before and it definitely has more of a small city vibe than a small town. Sacramento and SF are only about 20 min to an hour away, so it's not too far from major cities

I’m deciding between UC Davis and UCSB! (Cal Poly was in the running but not so much as of recent) I’m pretty much flip-flopping back and forth, UC Davis honestly appears to have great value but UCSB seems to have a better program for electrical engineering (which I got in for). Also, they’re both great locations but UC Davis is right next to home and UCSB is a pretty long drive. I think it’ll come down to the appeal of a place close to home or giving a new place a shot.
currently debating UC Davis vs UCLA for Poly sci/public policy. Such a tough choice! I've only been to LA once and I really didn't like the vibe tbh, but their school seems to be ranked higher for my program and overall, compared to Davis. Coming from the bay, I really like the idea of not living in a big city, but I'm struggling to get over the name brand recognition and fun atmosphere of UCLA. Is UC Davis fun or is it all study? Also, what do you think of UCD food lol?

Currently debating UCI and UCD, I’m from the SoCal area so it’d be closer to home and UCD is definitely a huge move, but when I visited it was really homey. Any advice?
Right now I'm trying to decide between UC Davis and UC Riverside. (I got wait listed to UC Santa Barbara as well and UC Santa Cruz) I was hoping this video would bring me closer to a decision but I'm still unsure. Your reason was for bikes but unfortunately I don't know how to ride a bike ( let's ignore how embarrassing that is) so I'm still stumped. I'm especially intimated by Davis since it's huge on bikes. Can anyone offer any advice?
I recently got wait listed, but I ended up getting into the Biology major! I am happy to attend, I am coming here! Thank you for this video! I AM SO HAPPY
Hey Alex! Thanks for the helpful information about UC Davis. I’m stuck between UC Davis and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I got accepted into both colleges with a biochemistry major, but I might change to animal sciences. Do you have any advice on which college would be best for me? Thanks for all your help and support.
hahaha same, my parents were so close by.
I’d prefer UCDavis over ucsandiego.
Have fun working the rest of you’re life to pay off the useless degree that doesn’t get you a job lol 😂
Alex Fisher-Wagner not a jab at you man, jab at the whole college system.. unless you’re going for some stem degree I wouldn’t put much hope in college being worth it.
@@Jake-py4lf he literally said he's a cs major
Lmao ended up dropping out sooo
@@craving2create damn fr? Was it anything because of Davis
Hahaha no and yes - my background/focus for career became digital marketing (specifically photo/video) which Davis doesn’t have a program for and their closest thing was Cinema and Digital Media, however I felt it was too theory and history based. Also my portfolio by my junior year was good enough to get me a full time job so I decided to just take a jump. And then I ended up working here lol
I think had I not pursued video I would’ve 100% stuck at Davis - probably forensic chemistry or food science
I’d prefer UCDavis over ucsandiego.
