      I would say AZ, Jay Z, Nature, Naz, and OC were in the same lane. Look how long it took Illmatic to go platinum. A lot of these labels did what they could, but the underground was king and knew who was who before the general public. We knew who Nas was, but the world caught up after 2000. Damn near ten years later.

I am a big fan and his vocabulary and pronunciation and cadence never gave me the idea that he was "the one that was outside." No diss, but he raps very intellectual about street shht. Just from his answers, length of time to think of either how to answer or what to say indicates to me that he knew how to rap but because of his poor politics he suffered business wise. He was around too too many people that were on and had/has a trajectory. Just shows you tho, if your politics is off it won’t matter how nice you are or your associates. Look im gonna just say this, and this is not just coming from my standpoint as a nas fan, but from hearing multiple interviews and stories pertaining to the beef between nas and nature. As promising and good as nature was as an mc, he severely fucked up his career in a couple of ways and was impatient overall. I think he felt he would blow up as an artist faster than he thought and bit off more than he can chew especially considering that nas helped him out and put nature on the spot. If he had just waited for nas to sign him things wouldve turned out slightly better for him and plus, Nature dissed nas first and started the beef. So he cant get mad that nas dissed him back on stillmatic because destroy and rebuild was also a way of nas giving advice to nature and not an entire diss in it of itself. Like Dysontime said in this comment section "Nature moved to Marcey. Nature screwed himself over at the end. He is a dope artist absolutely. However he could've been more successful if he hadn't signed with track masters and even if he still didn't sign with nas he could've found a better path. Lastly Nature also fucked up in starting or insinuating the beef between nas and cormega. Overall im happy nas and mega are friends again and squashed beef in 2006 but I hope nature and nas can reconcile someday. I hate rap beef in general. we work better together than divided but bottom line is nature played himself in a few ways more than one. Much respect to Math Hoffa and this podcast/show.
    P.S. If it were me at that time for the decision on the firm. I would've had all 5 members in the firm, Nas,AZ Cormega,Foxy Brown and Nature. The real culprits behind this firm mess was all because of the quiet beef between Steve Stout and Chris lightly(RIP)

    math i really been fiening for another battle rap episode of meo.. i been watching the old episodes and i gotta say man these episodes have great replay value this is a great show math. the growth is great and it does take everything to another level but i need some battle rap sprinkled in there every now an then please.. gene deal could be a good episode with his ties to biggie and the east coast west coast thing plus your from brooklyn... and.. gene said he use to manage hitman holla as a battle rapper an that he was with hitman when he battled t rex when they were mad young. gene might be full of hidden battle rap gems. you can even link the conversation with the biggie vs 2 pac dialogue and the battle rap stuff to make a seamless transition.

    Listening to “For All Season” Natures official album , Track Masters should have focused on more samples for the hooks/chorus instead of letting Nature doing things Live.
    “Man’s World” is a perfect example of the James Brown sample and Nature’s underlays which sounds Perfect , but other tracks like
    “Shit Like This” , “Young Love”, “Go Ahead” “Smoke” , “Don’t Stop” sound real lazy and more like throw away records that are halfway produced.
    Compared to Gems like
    “Man’s World” , “We Ain’t Friends” , “The Ultimate High” , “Talking That Shit” and “Natures Shine” which are ALL BANGAS 💥
    Track Masters fucked that album up, half real dope and other half throw away shits.
    As opposed to Nas illMatic where all 9 tracks were producers best production.
    Pete Rock, Large Professor, Q-Tip, Premo, L.E.S.
    I mean just look at “Banned From TV” where Nature 100% had the Dopest verse, it was the production that ruined his career nothing else.
    Same can be said for other amazing lyricist like Ras Kass

      @21street-erfication90 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nas is the king...some of us have stopped waiting for him to speak his side after all of these decades going by.
      He had personal non street yet weird ass conflicts with MC Shan, Rakim, Prodigy, Tragedy, Cormega, Mike Delorean, Nature and N.O.RE. Each artist separately expressed that they love Nas and don't want to beef with him and the years proved them to be honest. Thankfully the past is the past and N.OR.E squashed just about everything. The Nature drama is the only thing left but I can't see Nas having much to say...these were all young men who touched stardom in different ways and different times so bad things happened and ofcourse, shit happens. Salute to all of them.
