A drum cover of a quick one while he´s away? What an unusual choice. Who does that? And how would he do that? That´s not only covering a song. That´s covering Keith Moon. That´s crazy...and risky...you better have a lot of talent, energy and passion to pull that off. Hey Kid are you sure you wanna try th-...(listening to the cover)...ahem ok...NEVER MIND. Wow, great job sir!
Words escape me. I never thought anyone could keep up Moons’ beats, but this cat fits the bill! Someone tell Roger and Pete that The Band is getting back together.
Sure this kid has got the Animal approach just as Keith Moon. Nice to see young people see the quality of the WHO, just like we did when we were 17 in 1967.😎
I cannot believe there is not tutorial for this on drums, but this is pretty nice! Only thing is in the you are forgiven part, he does an Ivor the engine tom tom roll again during the last half of that section and you being a beat off during the last cymbal hits.
The snare sounds like a box. The rest of the drums need to be tuned. My biggest pet peeve. But, great performance. Why didn't you do the last Dang part? We don't have anyone in Austin who can play like that!
@@electricneonblack6335 Both great in their own way. Most fans can't appreciate the beauty of the original, like the superior quality of the harmonies, the arrangements, and the verse they always left out in live versions (never understood why). That's too bad in my opinion, but I love the live ones too.
@@tilesetter1953 They took out part of Ivor right? I think Ivor’s part is the best. They also changed it to nigh on rather than nearly a year. I prefer the nigh on version.
@@electricneonblack6335 They took out the verse after My name is Ivor which says Please take a sweet... A very good verse! The original has BOTH nearly and nigh on, and I like the juxtaposition instead of the repetition. It's a matter of taste!!!!!!
@@tilesetter1953 Oh! I haven’t got A quick one on a physical copy haha. I just ask my Alexa to play a quick one while he’s away and she plays the Leeds one so, that was the first one I heard, and after that the original just sounds a bit... low?
blistering... you played off the album version rather than the performance off Stones R and R Circus. Much variation between them? Know Moonie played a near rendition of anything played live.
Your on it but there was only one moon the loon and you need a couple more Tom toms and a extra floor tom your cymbals are a little on the thin side but you ain't far off him me old China plate
Your drumming is first class Noah , but I would drop and forget about doing the whole moon actions or antics , you could do them now and again here and there but it must make you very tired and not be good for your brain shaking it like that , it just seems such extra work its your drumming we want to see and hear , what does Noah really look like when he is playing. 4.33 - 5.00 is shit hot , a fantastic interpretation of a who classic which you made your own , not just copying moons beats which is what everyone else does when covering moon. I have lost count on how many who drum covers I have seen it must be 100 ,your video and one other have been so good I just had to comment. The dogs bollocks Noah , thats what we say in england when something is amazing.
I'd like to see you playing with Towshend & Daltrey in a Tour. You're so much better than the useless Starkey. What about a "Won't get fool again", mr.??

By seeing this boy's playing Moon's creation, You can aprecciate the extreme dificculty of this Masterpiece, how overwhelming it is.
No hi-hats were harmed in the making of this video. Even had a Moon scream in there. Excellent.

Much appreciated sir
My pleasure. You are one ham-slammin’ monster!
I am absolutely blown away this was fantastic
Very impresive cover! I saw the Who perform this in "68. Moon was like an octopus on this number. A brilliant musician.
Sick bro!!!! Just watched them do this on the Stones Rock & Roll Circus.🤘
me and my friend are sitting here hammered literally amazed, you are as close to keith moon as you can get! Keep it up!
This video made me smile! Keith Moon would be proud!
absolutely mindblowing!!
Great stuff You’ve got Moonie’s spirit
This kid got it going on
Best drum cover of it out there..
Excellent, glad I clicked on this. 😎👌🏼
This is brilliant
Dude you play better than Mike Portnoy on his tribute of The Who "Amazing Journey"
Wonderful! This is beautiful. You made my day!

Yo props for choosing this song. Gotta do the live version from the Rock n Roll Circus though
Belissimo, grazie!!

Brillant 👍 But bigger live means much bigger cymbals 🤓
Glad you chose the studio version!
The Live at Leeds or RSRnRC versions are blatantly superior lol

mama there goes that man
очень круто,мужик
Great cover. No criticism. But the main difference I see between Keith and the drummers who have covered him is, Keith makes it look effortless.
