Thanks. I would like a more in depth explanation. I have read rom 8 many times and the verses that say if the spirit of God live on you. And if you dont, then you dont belong to Jesus. 8 was struggling to overcome some sin in my life and I would worry that maybe I was not saved at the time 😞

Btw, I wonder why you used the term "justification" for the life and Spirit. Other commentaries use other terminology to highlight these truths, so I'm curious as to your theological/biblical sources. Thanks!
You only quoted half the verse and left out the important part. "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, WHO WALK NOT AFTER THE FLESH, BUT AFTER THE SPIRIT" (Rom. 8:1, KJV).

How does one "let God"?
Thank you for this breakdown, it helped me write my lesson for senior high. Also I really appreciate you not showing the face of Jesus. Although I do enjoy Christian art and art history, I am in the boat that we should not show the image of God including depictions of Jesus.
The cross can symbolize Him and what He did for us but showing His face falls under false images of God.
The Holy spirit destroys sin desires as we confess them that enable us not to return to sin. Matthew 5:6 they that hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled.

Paul explained that the Human nature is against the Spirit, so we now have a choice which are we going to feed, the Spirit or the Body?

To be controlled by human nature results in death; to be controlled by the Spirit results in life and peace. And so people become enemies of God when they are controlled by their human nature; for they do not obey God's law, and in fact they cannot obey it. Those who obey their human nature cannot please God.
It´s more about the "Sin in the body" vs the "Spirit"...not Human nature.

It can well be because the things and deeds spoken of in Romans 8 are not split into good or bad, but "the things of the flesh" and "the things of the spirit". It is about what your mind is set upon. Christian life is not about permitted and forbidden, but rather about letting go and letting God lead you by the Spirit, into doing things according to His will. Hope it helps
It's a fight for me so much like it really irritates me it's common since to give everything to God but then I'm fighting over and over I want this flesh to be crucified and I live fully for God free from all sin it sounds like an impossible fairytale but it's not with Gods power having a form of godliness but denying its power grieves the Lord
Jesus saved us from sin, but if you do so again repent and he will forgive us.

What a bunch of nonsense. The spirit of Yahshua... a Jew. Which contradicts Yahweh and the Law given to Moses of the 10 Commandments. All a bunch of nonsense about sin and being dead. Read verse 10, you are technically dead of sin because Christ is in you. What?! 😆 Of course you have to have faith. All of this is based on faith because it isn't scientifically possible to prove that Yahshua was a son of a supernatural deity named Yahweh. Or that spirits are in you and sin is killing you.
