  • I've known about this little town, deep in the Cederberg Mountains of South African called "Wupperthal" for a while, but never had the opportunity to visit it.
The town was founded in 1829 by two German/Rhine Missionaries. It is named after the Wupper River which flows through North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The town existed (in South Africa) over 100 years before the borders of Wuppertal in Germany were established.
Join us as we journey to the sleepy town, via gravel roads & epic mountain passes!

Pretty impressive, taking what is basically a road bike into those trails. Too bad the windscreen got all dusty.

Secret, you don't need much... I used to drive northern Canadian roads in a micra with some good tires. Worst was ground clearance. But as long as you were careful the front wheel drive and decent tires were all you needed if you have experience. No different here. Most will never take off road bikes or cars off-road. I was off road more in my little micra than most of the jeeps I see around. lol.
