My family migrated to Canada decades ago. Almost everyone I know struggled in the beginning for years. Jobs were hard to come by for my parents, my mother had to work shifts in a factory. Discrimination existed back then, it has improved now. My dad was underemployed, being a professional back home - that’s a reality he accepted. Life was hard. Eventually, we adapted to the life here but it is hard work. My point is before deciding to go to Canada, think about it hard, may internet na ngayon, do your research - and if you’re ready to let go of pride and comfort, then go.

Mindset kasi ng almost pinoy is to be an employee for the rest of their lives. Hindi ung hnggng matanda eh employee pa rin s ibang bansa just to survive.

    bottomline: walang forever bilang OFW.
Further ma explore rin sa mga susunod na interviews ang mga vision/outlook at plan nila sa Canada in 3-5 years. For the kids, benefits, PR matic na yan eh, dive deeper. How they see their lives CA in "their" fight.

share ko lng po....i have co-workers before (portuguese, romanian and japanese cla) and all of them were culinary grads sa george brown then i heard, they weren't able to get pr though all of them were full time workers na. i don't know what happened, i resigned na kc dun.

What i know is dapat may mag sponsor sa kanila and also one yr work experience is required. After studies apply sila for post graduate work permit and then apply for pr if they are allowed na to apply. Pero it's still best to research para may knowledge.
