- The CrowdStrike outage more than a week ago, and a cyberattack on CDK Global, have both highlighted the concerns around industry reliance on big tech companies.
The outage left airlines, banks and other businesses dealing with issues for days on end, including thousands of cancelled flights and delayed hospital appointments due to a faulty update. Last month, CDK Global was the victim of a cyberattack, prompting car dealerships which rely on the company for its software to turn to pen and paper to complete business dealings.
Experts say it's a "wake-up call" for industries to ensure backups are in place as tech issues become harder to escape. It also signals a need to improve security. Sean Previl explains.

Nothing should ever be 100% digital and electric!!
Yet they say digital cash is key😂😂😂😂😂on what planet do they dwell!!!, completely out of touch with the reality of reality!!

Did all this more efficiently before 1990 with No Computers
Really? You self-serve booked hotels, flights and car rentals more efficiently before computers?
You did your personal banking without having to leave your couch in the 1990’s? Paid bills?
You communicated with distant friends and relatives textually and face to face more efficiently back then too?
Oh the good old days of sitting at a travel agent for hours, driving to the bank with all your bills in a nice stack and writing letters grandma! Not to mention transcontinental phone calls with 10 second delays.
So efficient! Come on, use your brain before you open your mouth.

@ethimself5064 Me too❗
Why are they putting our entire lives online? They should have two records hard copy and online that way they have a back up.
I'm still on
Here comes the WEF cyber attack as promised
I highly doubt all these outages are conveniently happening around the same time and "differently not cyberattacks/foreign countries testing our power grid". 🙄
Watching people that don't understand tech talk about tech is so funny.
Imagine you tell those bozos about DNS systems. They'll crap their pants.
alrighty. its time for you to realise you can't rely on modern day stuff, go to you're bank right now and pull out cash, take that cash and put it in a book, a safe, where ever.
@@Marc_Gagne ok the time we get to trading gold. is the time that humanaty dies,
