Do they sound like too much bass if you leave the tone control bass setting in the middle, like how it comes from the factory? They say the bass is 2x louder, so just wondering if certain types of music might sound better if you reduce the amount of bass with the tone control? Even reducing the bass should still result in tighter and cleaner bass frequencies, according to the description from Bavsound.
Wish I could hear the difference, but I agree. I put a kicker comp R sub in my M240i and really balanced the sound. Being able to hit the lower end of frequencies that the H/K system couldn’t achieve. Great video 👍🏼
Man I was so bummed when I listened back through the audio 😭 It just turned out really back and was clipping so you really couldn’t hear anything worthwhile. But take my word for it, it’s amazing!
one thing you can do is use a cheap SPL meter and a sweep tone. It would give you a basic ideas of the SPL diff between the 2 subs. If you really played with it, you can even get a freq. curve out of it too.
@tuxon_speed How was the fitment and quality of the nw carbon haus mirror caps? Just ordered mine today. Using your code. Might get the exhaust tips too.
Brandon, my guy ! i need you to stop making videos for at least a couple months my poor book marks of chrome are almost maxed out with the things i need to buy for the M3 when it gets here LMAO. Great video bro am going to do this as well
@@tuxon_speed lol I bet you get the fun of doing the M3 and the M2 , me and wife are going to wait for the M2 Comp to come out then we are adding that with our 3
Pretty sure the Harmon Kardon is a standard option. As it sits right now, it sounds great and probably will leave it as it is. And yes they come in a pair.
There’s no way to get good musical bass out of the two 8” bass drivers: they are not true subwoofers. The best way to increase the stereo is to add a true subwoofer and amp in the trunk and not rely on the underseat subs to handle the bass. I’ve don’t it in two cars, leaving the H/K in one car and the Hi-Fi speakers in the other car, and the difference is night and day. To improve sound quality, adding power is the best option, followed by a true sub, and most of the time you find you don’t need to replace the midranges or tweeters
I saw on Bimmerpost that you went with Orella. Do you have their contact info as the website only shows the F87?
What front splitter do you have on the G87.
Love your videos, keep up the great work! Eagerly awaiting my allocation.
Thanks man! I greatly Appreciate that! I hope you get your allocation quickly 🙏
Ill definitely be ordering these once my M2 gets here next month.
They really sound great!
@tuxon_speed Where did you get your CF mirror caps? I want a decent pair ready for when my M2 arrives.
@@scottyk329 there should be a link to NW carbon haus in the video description. That’s where I got them and I have a coupon code for ya
@@tuxon_speed Awesome!! Thank you!

I looked on their website and they have G87 now. Do you think it's necessary to change the speakers too?
I’ve been a big fan of racing yellow angel eye since a decade ago but it looks really awkward on Toronto red.
I love it!
I just wanna know where we getting copyright free background audio for TH-cam videos 😬

@@HotRodM4 aye there you go!
Very true. Our G87 is not as good as our old B&O system in our SQ5

Hey mate. Top vid. Dunno if I missed it. Is this the Harmon or the standard. Any plans to do the actual speakers? The subs come as a pair right?

First, I have to say your one handed skill is amazing. 😄 Second, it seem like you had to take the seats off. Am I right?
😂 it’s not easy filming and working on the car. To your point, you just unbolt the seat and lean it back. Super simple.
Whats the cost for both subwoofers
$599 for both subwoofers. They also offer a stage one package that replaces all of the factory speakers. But I think just the woofers is the move.
@@tuxon_speed awesome, price is fine if the sound is fine :D now i hope they deliver to germany. Need to get in contact with them. Ty Tuxon 👌🏻
@@sultanmelih6133 you’re welcome buddy!
Their website says these require a "heat gun and drill" to install. You clearly didn't need them, right? Looks very good overall.
I did notice it said that also. But I didn’t need those items at all. It was completely plug and play.
@@tuxon_speed Will definitely look into these then. Thank you.

I’d rather just listen to the engine all day with a proper exhaust 🤷♂️
I’m with you there. But since I don’t have an exhaust on the car yet, I enjoy listening to music.
Nah I need my music for long trips! Windows down loud as possible with subs that can keep up!
