I got one of these, it is a pretty nice slingshot for the cost, it comes with several bands of 2 different strengths , it is pretty accurate as well, the pouch actually works pretty well. I have a wrist rocket but it is not as accurate as this slingshot. The fiber optics are actually decent, you do need to install the optics yourself but it is very easy to do, they are not needed but I found them helpful. I am just getting into slingshots and this is a cheap way to see if you like it and is a slingshot you can use for a long time to come. Have since ordered some other slingshots from simpleshot to try just because it is fun but this slingshot is a good deal in my opinion when you look at all that comes with it.
I have one of these coming tomorrow after seeing your review. Also bought the hammer XT from simpleshot with the additional slingbow attachment. Getting my grandson into slingshots, knife and axe throwing. We both need a lot more practice and we are getting a lot of great information from your videos. Thanks.

Cheap enough I'll just leave it in my Jeep vs the $60 Scout (I got all the extras)
I've always used marbles as ammo. The pouch with this model is too small. So when I tried steel in this one, no matter how careful I was, the ball ALWAYS hits the left (upper) frame. I've watched every video on slingshot shooting, but I still hit the frame. I should say I've never had one before that was too small for a hammer grip. Maybe that's my trouble.
Ive had one for a while and i "reshaped" it perfectly for my hand wrapped it in kangaroo and ostrich leather, got many band and pouch setups for a variety of different weights and sized ammo.. good enough to become dangerous and master the stealth art of spherical archery
The fiber optics come as two sticks of fiber optic lines which you put into the sights yourself using a lighter and scissors (very easy to do). It is your choice as to whether you install them, I like them as they help me zero in on where I need to be aiming but if I were already good at shooting I might not install them.
You could you just need to trim them down to fit your draw length. Measure your anchor point all the way to the full extension of your arm and then divide that by five. If you draw length is 30 inches cut the bands to about 6 to 6 1/2.

Now I have a Gamo pellet gun, a custom recurve bow, a crossbow, a Cold Steel big boar blowgun & a Cold Steel spear & tomahawk…all skills I’m learning…just to learn? I’ll be ordering a atlatl soon, and making a bolas too(need to learn knife throwing). 🙄And of course top of chain is my 2nd Amendments. 😁
I really like that black handle. Love black stuff anyway haha. These feel really comfortable to me. They packed alot of stuff in this package. A really great starter kit for someone for sure

Hello new subscriber here and I only have one question can I hunt medium sized animals with it and can I hunt with .75 an 1mm bands and what band do you recommend for hunting?
Unfortunately sling shots are prohibited weapons in my country. They can be homemade tho. And a excellent idea for hunting small game . Great video as usual brother
1 mm are gonna have more power, but for day to day practice you might want to use the yellows, I generally keep a green one on there but I have a short draw.
Daniel i own one of these very slingshots. And to be honest I'm more accurate with it and I really like it even more than all my simple shot slingshots. And I'm not putting down my simple shot slingshots at All.

You’ll know what I mean when you hold scout in hand. If you need a smaller version than the scout XT the scout LT is 20% smaller
@@davidviscarra9968 3/8 is most definitely best for hunting small game. 1/2 steel is difficult. It takes a powerful set o launch any distance. But thankfully 3/8 will get it done
I got another question. I know that you said that I need to cut my bands to hunt. But can I just do it without cutting them back, because I really like a full draw. Will I still be able to kill rabbits and squirrels?

Yes, you have to unscrew the screw to the left to loosen it a little bit. Don’t unscrew it too much. After you’ve unscrewed it just a little bit just press down on the screw, and it will open up a place to attach the bands.

I got something similar, different Amazon seller. It feels heavy, well built. My first slingshot since a wrist rocket in the 70's

Bands seem a little smoother but I love tubes
From what I have seen on youtube videos from guys who compete, in general it seems they think flat bands are more accurate but you can use either.

Absolutely 👍Slingshot hunting is all about the bands that you use anyway.
You can get some .7 bands from Simpleshot.

I would do average every day shooting with the thinner ones, but if you wanna hunt at strap on those 1 mm

Rabbits yes, squirrels are durable. It’s possible. If you were able to do butterfly draw that might would do it
