David Roth 1952 - 2021 One of my favorite magicians and without question THE best coin magician who ever lived is gone and that really sucks. My condolences to his family and friends.
Check out Doug Henning's version (type in 'Doug Henning Chop Cup' and click to view the clip titled - 'Doug Henning Close Up Magic') - I truly believe that this is the Daddy' of them all. That said, it would be - as it's actually Ken Brooke's Routine!
I like the Classic Don Alan Routine the most, Paul Daniels is basically the Don Alan Routine. I HATE that move Roth does with the Miller Penetration where he's freaking banging the cup! Doug Hennings is great, but I still think from table to table you can't beat Don Alan's. I like the Ken Brooke routine alot, but its more for a stage/parlour show because of all the props and table space. You have good taste.
Don Alan's is really good because its super fast and straight to the point. I also enjoy axtel hecklows JUST A CUP. Eh they all have strong points. PM me I like to compare classic routines. Here's a good one. Who's dove act was better Lance Burton's or Channing Pollocks? Tough one. I'd say both equal..
I do coins sometimes. I'm known in the magic community as a card artist conjurer or whatever. But I do realize im on a lot of videos. Coins and cards. I comment a bunch hahaha :) At least you are looking at the same cool videos I am lol :) DUNNY.
Being a coin magician, David Roth is a Legend. I truly adore his coin work. That said - I don't like David's CC routine. It's delivered too fast and very confusing - and confusion ISN'T Magic. For the best two Chop Cup routines, check out Paul Daniels (for a cabaret version) and the Doug Henning Routine (for close up).

I liked some of the moves, its a little too fast, but paul daniels is even faster! I still think the best one is Don Alans
Showoff.... (Hehehehehe)
Doug Hennings was really good, I think its Ken Brookes Routine, Roth's isn't terrible, its ok.
NRoth is great but this routine sucks.
