I really just thought that they gave you the indestructible version of the winterized power armor on purpose but we really will never know
According to a video I saw awhile ago, they accidentally added the simulation version of the winterized power armor (which never breaks) instead of the actual intended power armor (Dont ask how they missed that)
@@jordangardner4246 how did they miss that?

Ah yes the medical power armour. That one always kept my spirits up for some reason.

That funny moment when canonically the best power goes to XO3 Hellfire since the prototype’s durability was tested by literally yeeting mininukes at it with a guy inside it. Proceeded to succeed in every way but never got full deployment

I was just thinking this an hour ago! It would be great if in season 2 we meet the enclave remnants or Arcade, and the ghoul tries his theory again only for it not to work.
Personally I like the medic power armor from FO3 just has a different cool factor although the both special Pit armors are still cool
I loved that FO4 has an Auto-Stim upgrade you can put in your power armor.
didnt that one tell you when enemies were near? Or I'm sure it kinda talked in some way?
@@TheX-Philes It would talk to you and inject you with med-x and/or stimpacks if you had any
The way I imagine it
T-45 = 80% efficiency, 80% cost
T-51 = 100% efficiency, 100% cost
T-60 = 90% efficiency, 80% cost
The T-45 was a rushed model with many practical issues. It didn't cost too much but it was the first ever version it had issues, still it provided the US forces with the edge to win in Alaska.
The T-51 wasn't rushed, it was high quality in production but it was expensive due to different alloys and layers it had, it offered superior protector in the fields.
The T-60 is a modernised, improved version of the T-45, more efficient yet not any more expensive than what the T-45 was, they ironed out (pun) the flaws and made it even more durable from what they've learned. It wasn't used directly in war against China, it was deployed by the national guard and in domestic use.
In Fallout 76, this is shown to be the case. The T-51b proves superior to the T-60 in ballistic and energy resistances, but not in radiation, im which the T-60 is better.
And the T-45 is worse in all 3 categories, but its cheaper to repair and more avaliable on low level.
In addition, the T-45 was used as a base for a private company, Garraham Mining, to develop the Excavator power armor, made for industrial use for miners. Cool huh?
You forgot the union power armour that's a heavily modified T-45
Excavator armor for miners? GUYS WE HAVE WH40K TERMINATOR ARMOR NOW!
For the longest time too, the Gauss Rifle was bugged. I took mine from the first chance I could get to get there, through Zeta, and it would never degrade below 1/2 condition. No matter how much I used it. But even at 1/2, it had a bugged chance of damage. You could watch it be a sneak attack headshot (VATS or ADS), and see no damage taken. Loved Fallout 3, and unlike falling through the ground in NV for years, the bugs in 3 are part of the charm…like pipes dripping tin cans in the D.C Subways haha
So the ultimate power armor is one that transcends reality.
That's some eldritch armor right there.
And a Gauss Rifle. Operation Anchorage is a bad Fallout dlc, but for how long the dlc is (which it's quite short), it's rewards are worth it.
I had fun with it, but you're right: The goldmine at the end is the best part.
My personal favorite is the Chinese stealth armor.
@@TraustiGeir ah yes, the "you don´t see me armor", always a fun one
Wanna know something absolutely absurd??
If you get the unique displacer glove and max ur strength n melee ability… it’s a one shot on any enemy including brotherhood of steel and deathclaws. If u turn it to harder setting it still launches them n rag dolls even legendary death laws and uppercuts turn heads to pink mist :)
The t45 series and t60 are both metal based, with the t60 being an improved model on the t45, the t51, x01, and enclave series all use a polymer/ non metallic composite which in lore and gameplay is the best set up for power armor, the main difference between advanced armor mk1 and mk2 is the mark 2 uses separated plates that improve mobility over the mk1
well, then there is APA MK1, 2, and 3
APA mark 1 is the strongest and most advanced, as the enclave used made it on the rig, APA mk 2 and 3 were made in the capital wasteland and are as strong as the T-45 and T-51
@@8vantor8 that’s in game canonically spa mk 2 is stronger than mk 1, even though gameplay does not reflect that. Mk3(hellfire) is the strongest ever developed
@@hazard4349 apa mk2 is more then likely mass produced and cheap as a result, and most of their production went down with the rig
@@8vantor8No, the only reason that APA Mk2 is so weak is because the Enclave are introduced really damn early in the story, so if you got the best armour in the entire game so early, it’d make the rest of the game laughably easy. Lorewise, APA Mk2 is a considerable improvement over the Mk1, as it had to contend with the BoS who were, at the time, much less disjointed and much more alert to the movements of the Enclave after the events of Fallout 2. So while in game, it’s on par with T-45, in lore, it’s among the most advanced suits of powered armour to ever be developed.
Tl;Dr, game balance trumps lore.
@@decimation9780 mate, your tldr contradicts what you just said
76 fixed ingame T60 stats to be more lore friendly. Basically, its supposed to be weaker than T50, but cheaper and more "mass produced" friendly. That's why US Army use it more tha T50

T-51 b!!!! The OG and best. That was the Armor you got in the first Fallout. The original and still the best, bayyyybeeeee!
What about Advanced version of this armor from Fallout Tactics? It is much better than original T51 b, isn't it?
This power armor is from the creation club but was added in on fallout 4's new update along with the tesla cannon, this was the Hellfire armor which offers the same damage and rad resist as the X-01 but slightly more energy damage
No mention of the non-prototype Advanced Power Armor from Fallout 2?? "You were critically hit for 0 hit points, feel the pain."
T-45 will always be my favorite. It looks so rugged which makes the intimidating factor of it far better. Rather than the X-01 which looks like an armored turtle bug. T-51 I think has the 2nd best looks with it's more reserved advanced sleek look.
Bethesda has destroyed the fallout lore
Quit whining
How so? Fallout has allways been a goofy game mixed with serious tones. If you dont believe that you diddnt pay attention well enough to 1 or 2, let alone the others.
How?
@@norman2.0he said nothing about the games being goofy ruined fallout. What he probably meant is that power armour lore is all messed up. In fallout 1 we only had brotherhood run power armour which was pre-war and it didn't had a mark to designate it. In 2 we got Advanced Power Armour developed by Enclave after the war on the oilrig. In tactics we got the Midwest power armour which was just a mish mash of scavenged parts and old power armour put together which makes sense for the position of brotherhood in that game. Then we come to 3 where it starts to go down where we get introduced into T-series. We see brotherhood who came from the west coast wearing exclusively t-45 which we have never seen before. But in fallout 1,2 they only had T-51 which we learn in this game to be a superior version of T-45. So why are they all wearing T-45s when they had T-51s and why we never saw T-45s before. Then you get to Enclave Advanced Power Armour MK2 which is a downgrade from MK1 we got in fallout2. I can understand hellfire armour as a more specialised high ranking power armour. In new Vegas we actually see brotherhood with T-51s which makes sense but also find T-45s and have the original Advanced Power Armour with Remenants Power Armour. You get to 4 and it's uhhh, fucked? I mean you still have t-45 and T-51 but we also get introduced to T-60 and and X0-1. I understand T-60 being a stopgap model, to refurbish the old T-45s but you again just like in fallout 3 with T-45 never heard of this power armour. Again I can accept it being a T-45 upgrade set but I cannot accept whatever the fuck X0-1 is. Bethesda probably saw the complaints that the APA MK2 in fallout 3 didn't look like APA in fallout 2 so they remade it in fallout 4 but then someone with 2 working brain cells probably walked in and said: We cannot just put APA into fallout 4 we need a lore justification.
So they just made up that chief of staff requested a new version and had small amount produced and that's how enclave on west coast created APA by having the schematics of X0-1. About fallout 76 I cannot comment since I never played it myself.
@@o.w.n.1327 idk, I feel like fo4 power armour makes most sense IMO.
T-60 was standard millitary issue late war
T-51 was elite forces
T45 was the older version, and standard issue early-mid war
X-01 was experimental/in testing
Hellfire was made post war
Having these epochs of power armour makes sense.
I see the X-01 and all I see is Horrigan. Everytime.

The winterised T-51 has thousands of durability points, making it nearly indestructible, so you never really need to repair it. However it doesn’t grant you near invincibility, as it doesn’t make your HP a few thousand points. It only increases it as much as the regular T-51.
The T-51 will always be my favorite

In Fallout 3 and New Vegas, the strongest in terms of a Strength bonus is the T-45. It is helpful for min maxing special stats or boosting you up just enough to use some big guns
SPEEDRUN TO ANCHORAGE!
My favorite F3 armor was the winter version of the medic combat armor.
The T-60B is a classic.
Lorewise probably Hellfire, it is a strong contender for the title of most advanced PA ever made.
Tripped across an X-01 suit missing a helmet, arm, and leg recently. Parked it back at my main base until I find some other pieces.
Talks about T-60 power armor proceeds to show off the T-45 in fallout 4
Honestly, that hug is for the best. Otherwise, it would likely be nearly useless because there would be no way to repair it as you can only get one set of it.
I thought they will mention Advanced Power Armor from Fallout Tactics, which is indestructible and awesome!
If the glitch goes right you never have to repair that armor from the DLC
T-60 isn't the most advanced. T-60 is T-62 to T-45's T-55... I'm making an analogy to soviet tanks. T-62 tank was enlarged T-55. It's a simple cheap, but semi-reliable design.
T-51 was an armor based on all new tech, which sadly was very expensive and unreliable at the time. In this analogy it's T-64.
Then come the improved in all regards X-01 project, which Enclave further refines into Advanced Power Armor Mk.1. These two are T-80 and T-80BV respectively in our continuos analogy.
However Enclave continues development and splits the project further.
They develop APA Mk.2 seen in F2 which can be called T-80U,
cheap streamlined mass produced variant of APA Mk.1 seen in F3 which would be T-72B and roughly equivalent to best variants of T-51
and finally two diamonds in the rough, Ganon Family Armor(real designation unknown, but this is the ONLY power armor in the series that counts as medium armor. The user probably feels like he's wearing nanosuit from Crysis) and Hellfire Armor(heaviest armored suit known to date, but less advanced then APA Mk.1). These would be biathlon T-72B3 and T-90A respectively.
Sorry for analogy with soviet/russian tanks. I just felt like it would help people to visualise the "tech tree" and the relations these projects have to one another in regards as to why not every project with higher number or later date is better then previous one.
So far there are 3 best armors:
1)New Vegas - Ganon Family Armor aka lightest, fastest and stealthiest;
2)Fallout 3 Broken Steel - Hellfire Armor aka the sturdiest and most protective armor in the series. True walking tank;
3)Fallout 2 - APA Mk.2 the most advanced armor in terms of tech. Likely best sensors, communications and so on.

Why x-01 power armor looks better in older fallout games
I remember doing operation anchorage in the very beginning of my first run and then regret it because I was stuck with the same armor all the game.
Winterized T-51B is my favorite.
I feel like the armor itself if they had just given you a regular piece of power armor it woulda been likely a shitty quest reward unless they did smth unique with it like just make it incredibly durable but whether they meant to or not now it's actually worthwhile to go get
The X-01 looks like something aliens developed it’s so cool. Probably my favorite set. The classic T-45 is my second favorite.
I found an X01 suit this morning at the armory 😮
I like Hellfire, 7hr in Fo4 and i got a full mark IV model from that karavan thingie
T 51 is most beautifully looking for me
I feel that if we didn’t go off of bugs the most powerful armor would be the Quantum X-01, the X-01 or 02, and the Hellfire power armor.
In terms of actual defense and power bonuses the Winterized Power Armor falls short to like all the FO4 Power Armor.
The absolute best power armor is the winterized T-51b in fallout 3. It’s indestructible and has good stats.
As of 2024, the enclave XO2 power armor and the hellfire power armor are the best in the game. They added them to fallout 4 for the next gen update.
OK so yes, as we suspected, the X-01 (really, the "Advanced Power Armor MkII") is the best power armor as supported by canon.
The best power armor is the one that looks the nicest with my current weapons
I don’t think it’s fair to count a bugged item as the most powerful version of power armor lore wise, I mean, logically they wouldn’t have an indestructible armor suit just sitting in a bunker.
Correction, your "t-60" is the T-51 since only the T-45 and T-51 were in the war, (unless you go off the botched cutscene in fallout 4 which is the only thing saying that T-60 was even though of at the time of the war) the T-60was designed and used by the brotherhood of steel, as for the X-01... Lores mixed up for that, old fallout such as 1 2 or 3 say the enclave designed it after the war, fallout 76 said it was made before the war but only mentioned in a loading screen tip
Well lore wise it’s hell fire
I never really liked the design of the XO-1 power armor mainly because it looked like a mirelurk. but i think it looks pretty cool now.
X01 is my favorite astethics wise
Fun fact:
