@@DilbertWhiteheadtell me one socialist policy that UK implemented. And I mean proper socialism, no woke culture or culture war BS (which is what the Labour Party does). Also “benefits” is not a valid either, as welfare systems have existed since the Roman republic.
What I mean is systematic labour reform that have placed the means of productions in direct control of the workers, either through cooperatives or a more Leninist approaches. The UK has done the opposite, it has sold its industry to foreign countries and relied on Russian gas.

If we are 'flat lining' with GDP, that is actually, on a per capita basis, a reduction. That is because we are adding more than 1% to our population every year.
Every single social and economic problem we have traces either directly or indirectly, back to un-controlled immigration.

As a business owner I have ceased all new staff hires, we have been hit hard by this governments lack of action for small businesses. Business rates are a joke, now we have to pay more per employee with this increase in employers NI.
We have to put up our prices but our customers can go elsewhere which would mean we're no longer viable. We're in a very precarious position and this government doesn't seem to care. No jobs, no taxes.....

It's not uncommon for growth to reduce immediately following a change of government.
The next quarters figure will provide a much clearer forecast as the direction the economy is heading.

BOE should lower rates. Yes may cause inflation to increase but doing absolutely nothing is not going to change things either. So short sighted politicians and economists are.

🤯Happy New Year country would save in cannabis charges and wasted police/present spaces so real criminals like assault/murder/rape charges could be dealt with rather than prison space/police officers being taken up by some guy for his plants because in which world does it make sense to have real criminals running the streets why people are in prison for a plant the country would benefit hugely all medical patients could grow their own no one priced out of medication from private clinics and think of all the wasted tax money when police officers are called out and have to deal with people who are medical patients because of a smell I imagine it can be difficult to tell the difference between an legal and illegal smell lol
