You get it just as I do. I was born in 1965. Been through a lot of music but none has touched me as deep as Aurora

The Nidarosdomen concert is an artistic masterpiece of the highest order in every respect ( the venue, choice of songs (both Aurora's and the covers of other artists material), all of the performances (Aurora, her band, the choir, the orchestra, the harpist and the organist), the set decorations and the peerless camera work and sound engineering of the Norwegian broadcaster NRK). Other highlights are "Winter Bird", "Walking In The Air" and "It Happened Quiet".

Oh, Through The Eyes Of A Child at this cathedral is a spiritual experience, I’m not even exaggerating. Aurora puts her soul into her music and it’s magical. Please, give yourself a treat and check out the live performance of Through The Eyes Of A Child because it’s something you’re never gonna forget 💜

    A really great reaction
This concert is perfection in every single way
You can basically pick any song, because they’re all beautiful.
“Through the eyes of a child”
    “Nature boy” cover
“Little boy in the grass” +++
    Other great songs:
“All is soft inside” live at KEXP Iceland 2018
    “The Seed” and
“Daydreamer” live at the HAIK concert 2019
She’s releasing a new song on the 8th of November called “Your Blood”, and from the little I’ve heard it sounds amazing
The line “I refuse to die” is stuck in my head lol

she wrote most parts of the song at age of nine. she is not only the creator of the message, she is the messenger and the message herself. don't stop to discover her. nice reaction.

I sure she had the melody in her head at 9 yrs but she was 16 before she put lyrics to it . I wish i could remember which interview "written or video" I got this from.

    • @tx0h
      @tx0h ปีที่แล้ว

@@thehonestcritic6577 according to an interview, she wrote lucky at the age of 9 and finished it 10 years later.
,,Einen Teil von “Lucky” habe ich geschrieben als ich neun war und habe ihn mit 18 fertiggestellt. Und offensichtlich passiert viel in 10 Jahren.''
,,I wrote a part of "Lucky" at the age of nine and finished it when i was 18. Obviously a lot of things happen inbetween 10 years''
at that age she began to add lyrics to her compositions. it's plausible. the dramatic contrast between chorus and verses might be added later, but the chorus layd the foundation.

Yeah, "Through the Eyes of a Child" is almost certainly the most popular song from this special concert. ("Lucky" is probably second.) So that definitely belongs in the queue!

This song and performance holds a special place for me. It saved my soul and lifted my spirit to appreciate what a gift life can be. Hard to imagine an 11 year old could write such a profound song. I am so glad you finally got to experience it for yourself!! Loved what you had to say to a performance that can leave many speechless.

Hyper powerful performance....might be my favorite from this perfect 10/10 concert.
I say this on every Lucky video it seems, but....for those who might be interested: I'm 99% certain Aurora wrote this song inspired by the Paulo Coelho novel "Veronika Decides to Die." Aurora has cited it as her favorite novel ever, and has read it 5 times. So....I read it. And let's just say....that's when it became super obvious and clear that Lucky is written from the perspective of the protagonist Veronika. Every lyric makes sense given that context....indeed certain lines are very clearly direct references to certain aspects of that novel.
I won't spoil it....I'll only say, the novel very much recontexualizes the "meaning" of this song for me. It's less about *_hashtag YOLO! :D_* and more about...the profound grief of accepting what cannot be undone once it's too late.

This song and performance is masterpiece. As you said she is so captivating and expressive. Beautiful voice, lyrics and everything is just perfect here. You got many recommendation from this concert because whole concert is just a 1h of magic, but of course there are many great live performances for her songs from this and other venues. She is true and very talented Artist.
Ps. She wrote this song when was 9 and finished/polished it a little later - mind blowing for me.

Hello again! Thanks for another great reaction 🙂 And I also love the fact that you finally got on to this extremely beautiful concert. You may have gotten the context somewhat wrong, as this was "nothing" more than a regular concert (a Christmas concert) taking place in an astonishingly beautiful setting. Like I mentioned last time, after your reaction to Through The Eyes Of A Child, her performance of that song on this concert is probably my all time favorite by her. I'm not sure if I understood; are you going to do another reaction to THAT performance, or just watch it on your own time? To me it doesn't really matter, but I do think you should at least check it out for yourself 😉 That being said, ANY performance from this concert is exceptionally beautiful. Make sure to watch her performance of the relatively well known song "Walking In The Air" as well. And Little Boy In The Grass... And And And...... LOL Enter the titles followed by the name Nidarosdomen and you're good to go. Have a great weekend! Love from Norway ♥♥♥
