A warning to all those with a Frunk!
Wh 7:35 en you place ridged items in the Frunk or in the Trunk, it severely limits crash safety as crumple zones will not crumple as designed and the impact will enter the ridged passenger compartment! I would definitely not use the Frunk for the spare tire that’s mounted on a stiff rim. Pickup drivers that load construction materials in their Frunks would not survive a major head-on collision!

If Lucid did not want anyone to place objects in the frunk due to safety concerns, don’t you think they would warn people not to put object in there? There is no such warning. I get what you are saying, but curious why they would let people put things up there if the empty space is needed for safety. Thanks for your comment. Really got me thinking

@@outofspecdave1554 I think Mitchell is right. You don't want to have a tire in there.
Dave you are right as well, Lucid want you to use it as a storage compartment BUT it is for normal things like groceries and cables and laptop bags and other stuff which in case of an accident will completely mash unlike a wheel and tire which are made to not deform under load.
As far as Lucid reps telling you it's okay to put that tire is correct from their standpoint BUT again those people don't think about car crashes and crumple structures during a crash etc. It's just for the owner's safety to not do it, especially when they plan to drive at extremely high speeds for a record and Lucid due to already heavy weight, with 3 people and luggage and 2 tires and skinny wheels for efficiency, we all know how the braking is, Kyle tested it in his video and they all didn't like it, which is understandable from physics point of view so no hate on Lucid, I really like the car.
TLDR: for safety reasons, it's better to put the spare in the rear trunk than the front

Actually, the 2023 model years Range Rover PHEVs can also CCS quick charge with a peak of about 50kW. Most of the Range Rover PHEVs also have a roughly 35kWh battery on board. They've been out for about a year. Now as for which cars (Polestar 1 and Range Rover PHEV) would be fastest utilizing both gas and electric? I guess we will have to wait and see hehe.
