Economic Development

The Economic Development Department aims to grow wealth, economic stability, and
entrepreneurship among the Hispanic/Latino/Latinx community members and other underserved
populations.
Our objectives are: 1. Increase access to stable, safe, profitable, and meaningful employment
and/or self-employment opportunities for community members, 2. Increase the availability of
small business coaching, support, networking, and leadership opportunities that help
Hispanic/Latino/Latinx-owned and operated businesses grow, upscale, and ultimately succeed,
3. Increase the ability and opportunity for community members to access information,
resources, and support needed to build wealth and make financial decisions, 4. Increasing the
capacity to grow wealth in the immigrant community by accessing the rights and obligations of
citizenship through naturalization.
