Education

The Education Department has the overarching goal is to expand educational opportunities and spaces for the intellectual growth and personal development of Hispanic/Latino/Latinx community members, from childhood to adulthood.
Our objectives are: 1. Increase school readiness, performance, and achievement for Hispanic/Latino/Latinx children in grades K-12 and who access college, 2. Increase basic literacy/secondary or high school education and work skills, 3. Increase the capacity of academic institutions, educators, parents, and leaders in education to close achievement gaps, achieve academic success, and promote equitable learning opportunities, and 4. Increase the Spanish language proficiency in Spanish and non-Spanish learners.
