Great review because that Golf looks absolutely marvellous😭 looking forward to the subscribers special🔥
Many manufacturers no longer have service books - it’s all done digitally via the VIN number. You can easily check the service history at any VW with the VIN number.
@@charlesmnisi3696i would say, anything 100000km especially because of the type of DSG gearbox which can be expensive to repair. Obviously the lower, the better but the price does go up the lower the mileage. Make sure you have a full service history of the car and it was serviced regularly by reputable places. Hope this helps.
I used to own a 7.0 and now I own an mk8 and in my opinion, the driving characteristics of both cars are very similar. Obviously the mk8 has more power and torque. But the chassis and handling is pretty on par with the mk7. I will always have a soft spot for the mk7 and would probably choose it over the mk8 due to the less inferior infotainment system. But, overtime, since owning the mk8, I got used to the infotainment problems. But I still prefer physical buttons. Overall, both cars are a great choice of daily fun that will always put a smile onto your face!
experience wise the 7.5 drives well, very reliable. I've been driving mine for over a year and I've been abit rough on the vehicle,a little bit of drag racing every now and then and yeah never had any issues with it, and it's very fuel economic. anyways almost traded my 7.5 for the 8 until i test drove the golf 8 and decided to keep my golf 7.5, if u own a 7.5 it's kind of pointless to trade it for the 8.
Take the R500k and drop it on a Suzuki Swift around R200k then take the R300k difference and use it as a deposit on a house and start building your net wealth with appreciating assets. As he says times are tough use your money wisely so stop makung the banks rich and rather enrich yourself!!
Good point but humans we don't think with logic, we think with emotion and I think that we should accept it within reasonable means like the video says
If you eat only noodles everyday, you won't die and you will only spend R110 on food per month. That's an average saving of R1,890pm or around R24K per year, if you put that in the house you'll cut 6 years off your bond. Building wealth at the cost of a miserable unhappy life is not a solution. Be smart, work hard and you can buy both a house and a GTI. How old wete you when you realized this secret knowledge my king?
Okay for those of you that came for the house part listen. I'd rather buy a brand new out of the box 3 million car and pay it off in 5 years. This is my view. Buy it and don't drive it. Just park it and drive it for purposes of just not standing. Maybe 10 km per month. Then sell it after those 5 years back to a dealer and get like 2 milli for it and Buy a house with that money instead, 5 years car down payment is better than 20 years bond for house. Trust me, it will work 100% if you just stick to the plan. By the time you sell it with only driving 10 km per month after 5 years you will have only driven it 650+/- km on the clock.
After Muzi's story with the face-lifted Polo GTi, I'd choose the 7.5. We are familiar with everything it has and I won't have to deal with issues even VW doesn't have solutions for
@@thobanimanzi R85k, R48k, R24k in that order. Yes, it won't cover the full cost should those break. I went for the Clusport Edition 40 (2016), so the year model did not qualify for unlimited cover but it did have low mileage -76000km - wich gave me some comfort.
@@Charmjozi which company is that and how much are you paying for it? Around December I will have be looking at buying a car for around R400k. What is your feul consumption so far and what type of roads you're driving on? I live in a township that is full of speed humps, I was driving a 2019 polo gti that would sometimes average 13L/100 km.
I'd choose this over a current-gen Polo GTI. It's going to keep its value much better too, though I don't think I'd sell it after paying it off. I really don't see the need to chop and change for something that won't give you a massively different experience.
I have exactly the same one without the park assist. 65k mileage with full service history and vw full maintenance plan extended until July 2024. Polo gti! Because it comes with warranties, motor plans So if anything goes wrong you don’t pay an arm and a leg or go to goldwagen to look for spares that they may not have

A performance car without service history, a huge red flag. Mr howmuch.i want to know how much is a minor and major service. What tyres on the car and and how much they cost. Tell us cost to maintain
Minor siverce it's around R4000 something depending on the issues buy the time u take it and the tires 225\35 R19" EL(extra load) , normal premium tire continental wil go for around R3500 for one tire or R2000something ,but for the speed of that car u need good quality tires n it means u will have to buy those R3500 tires and am sure major service u pay around R10000 if they have to replace anything it's more than. That's y a lot of owners when service plan ends thy take back the car
I'm sure the average 7.5 GTI driver spends at least 3k on fuel per month. No one buys a hot hatch to drive it like a picanto.
You do, if you have discovery benefits giving you cash back
To answer your question: A demo Polo GTI
Guys, let's not fool ourselves.
