Its such a pain to get those shocks/springs inside that moonwalk system. I lost one of my springs trying to get it set up but just bought the optional springs so I can re-attempt. Any tips on how to get the shocks/springs to stay in place while installing the moonwalk?
It's not easy, especially if you want to change springs with the top half of the shock having to go through the top of the moonwalk. I took the front piece of the moonwalk off the car and then built them up. If you're getting the expansion set of springs, I'd recommend going up one spring on the top spring on the front.
Does anyone know of any specialized tools for fine-tuning RC drift cars? I'm talking about adjustments for camber, caster,, and other critical parameters for drifting. If you have any specific tools or techniques to share, I'd love to hear about them! Thanks for your input!
With the increase of 1/28 racing, more and more setup correct size tools are appearing. So can get small camber gauges now like www.gt55racing.com/products/pre-sale-bm-racing-alum-camber-gauge-for-1-24-1-28-rc-car-bm-t-cg A good pair of digital callipers is a good investment. You can get set up boards from various places now, too. If you do a search on the DA group, a few people have done setup guides.
