Usually when I think of my ships, movies and TV come to mind. But I still have plenty of book couples that hold my heart. 1. Nina/Matthias from the Six of Crows Duology (Yes, it still hurts) 2. Kaz/Inej 3. Evelyn/Celia from The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo 4. Alex/Henry from Red, White & Royal Blue 5. Danny/Sarah from the Dreadnought series And I just recently read Truthwitch and now I'm just starting to get on the Aeduan/Iseult ship. They already have me feeling some type of way.
I love Kaz and Inej, Jesper and Wylan, Chaol and Yrene, and Percy and Annabeth. I also really enjoy Jane Austen pairings . I don't read too many books with romance pairings but these were great to me! I tend to read more nonfiction science/history or historical fiction books
Ronan and Adam from The Raven Cycle and Call Down the Hawk will always have my heart. Words really can’t express how much I love them together. They’re two of my favorite characters individually, so when they got together it was just magical. Whenever they had a scene together in TRC or CDTH I was a squealing mess haha. Some other ships that I love are Kaz/Inej, Nina/Matthias, Simon/Baz, Darrow/Mustang (don’t know why, I just love them), Jude/Cardan, Alex/Henry, Mia/Tric, and Elias/Laia.

Some of my other OTPs are Vin and Elend from mistborn (I love how sweet they are), Nona/Arabella and Kettle/Apple from red sister, Ophelia and Thorn from A Winter's Promise (their dynamicis so different from what you see in YA typically and it so adorkable and funny to read) and Kaladin and Happiness from The Way of Kings! Also if you are looking for a TV show with some great sapphic ships (although none of the main ones are canon yet but the show is awesome at diversity) is She-ra and the princesses of power, honestly the main two characters have a friends to enemies to lovers (hopefully?) arc and it's so awesome!

We Hunt the Flame by Hafzah Faizal. A Winter's Promise by Christelle Dabos. I think these two books and their romance would be very much up your alley but they are so little known on booktube. I'd love it if you gave them a try to see if you liked it and also to spread more awareness.
JILY. Almost nothing is actually written about them, but they were soulmates damn it. Jin and Amani (Rebel of the Sands trilogy) Kaz and Inej Simon and Emily (Well Met) Gilbert and Anne (Anne of Green Gables - although mostly specifically Anne with an E) Maerad and Cadvan/Hem and Zelika/Saliman and Hekibel (The Pellinor Series) Zutara. Because it should have been canon. I'm sure there are couples that I'm more 'meh' on these days, but this comment would end up being WAY too long.
Honestly Nathan and Gabriel from the half bad trilogy by Sally Green. There's a lot of issues with that series and it falls into tropes that should die out but those 2 haunt me everyday. Especially Nathan. Vin and Elend. I. Love. Them. Patroclus and Achilles. Lucy Muir and Daniel Gregg from the ghost and Mrs Muir. I love my angst and this has a young widow with a daughter who falls in love with the ghost of the previous occupant of her house. The book is good, the film knocks it out of the park. Hades/ Persephone. Any version really but I will give a special nod to Sarah Diemer's version in the dark wife which was a lesbian retelling of the myth.
Ok, I know this isn't books, but forever and always captain swan from once upon a time. I also really loved the ship in the gilded wolves, but idk about book 2 bc the end of book 1 really betrayed me, but also I want to know. Also also, Kaz and inej are soooo good - there are very few words that can describe the beauty of the way their pain gets in the way of their happiness and it is so good the smallest babiest steps are the biggest world-changing moments because trauma and I can't!

Thank you for reminding me how badly I need to start the Truthwitch series!! I've heard so many good things. Oof, I've had so many book ships over the years that I enjoyed a lot while reading them, but there aren't that many that actually reached OTP status or stuck with me long-term (most of my absolute FAV ships & ones that have stuck in my feelings the longest have come from tv shows or other media). It's really just Will/Lyra (His Dark Materials), Rhy/Alucard (Shades of London), and most recently Nick/Charlie from Alice Osman's Heartstopper graphic novels/webcomic.
I honestly added all of these (that I haven't read already) to my TBR beacuse I desperately need some good ships in my life. Magnus and Cleo make me so sad. How can them getting together make me sad??? It shoulda become official towards the end, cause we knew it was endgame, so make us wait a bit more?? Ship of my heart forever is Kaz and Inej and Morozko and Vasya from the Winternight trilogy. During book 3 I had to close the book and take a walk for 10 minutes because I was emotional. Vasher and Vivenna from Warbreaker were awesome too. Though some can argue that there wasn't romance there.

Oooh, I loved Kestrel X Arin in Winner's Curse(and loved most of that book) but then raged for the whole Winner's Crime because of the inconsistency, imo, of the characters' intelligence throughout the story, especially Kestrel's. In one moment she'd hatch a smart plan and in the next moment she'd be like "I, the high class noble, who has lived my whole life in the high class circles, now suddenly have no idea how politics work, even though I used it to my advantage before, teehee" *facepalms* And then the third book started out great & brutal aaaaand now I'm back to raging after 100 pages or so... Sigh... Now I am literally forcing myself to finish the book and I have about 200 pages left... 😑 Also, screw Arin. He endangers EVERYONE all the time and then is grumpy about everything. Could we get more of Kestrel's and Verex's relationship instead, please?(not that I am expecting that, because "We need to save poor Arin, even at the cost of destroying everything else that Kestrel ever cared for. Is there anyone else here that thinks that Ronan was the better option?") Sorry for the rant, but this series had such potential to become my new favorite 😅 But if anyone here has some characters like Kestrel, intelligent, rather than super strong in some way AND there are consequences for their actions, please do recommend such stories to me! I need more intelligent female protagonists! As for the other couples mentioned, I've only read ACOTAR series and never cared for anything Feyre related(even though she's the main brat, I mean, the main character😅 ), including Feyre X Rhys 😂 I only read the series because of my favorite ship in there - Nesta X Cassian. I truly hope that the next the next story is going to be about them. But I'm also scared of how SJM will progress their relationship.

As I get older the picker I become with the couples in media that captivate me. 1. I have experienced those things now 2. I myself have matured so it's much more difficult to ignore the problems, so those problems have to be actually dealt with. The relationships I feel in love with years ago I still love, but I just can't get as easily attached now.

This 7th grader in my student teaching class is currently reading Clockwork Prince, and I asked him who he wanted together. He said Jem and Tessa, but he knew who ends up together. I told him that I shipped all three of them together, and he asked what I meant. I told him that you can't deny that Will and Jem has romantic feelings between them, and he was like "I didn't think of it like that, but you're right." I felt proud in that moment.
I always thought of Will and Jem’s relationship as a high-quality bromance, but I remember there was a point where I was thinking that if it weren't for Tessa, I would have totally shipped them.

I’m actually surprised at how little hype there is about The Bone Season series, maybe how successful Priory was will get more people to pick it up? I loved Ead and Sabran but I wasn’t that invested in the story.
I love ships and shipping but I don't think I have that many when it comes to book ships. Most of mine are all tv show ships. But out of books here are some of mine. New and old. Jacob/Bella from Twilight. I loved this series when I was a teen. I am 30 now so not much of a fan anymore. Draco/Hermione from Harry Potter...I mean I know they aren't canon but I ship it. Cath/Levi from Fangirl. I read that earlier this year and instantly loved them. Jon/Arya from Game of Thrones..it's another ship that isn't canon but it may as well be...GRRM did outline them as endgame in his orig outline for the books way back when but of course stuff has changed and that very well could too.

Oof, I've had so many book ships over the years that I enjoyed a lot while reading them, but there aren't that many that actually reached OTP status or stuck with me long-term (most of my absolute FAV ships & ones that have stuck in my feelings the longest have come from tv shows or other media). It's really just Will/Lyra (His Dark Materials), Rhy/Alucard (Shades of London), and most recently Nick/Charlie from Alice Osman's Heartstopper graphic novels/webcomic.
I honestly added all of these (that I haven't read already) to my TBR beacuse I desperately need some good ships in my life.

Ship of my heart forever is Kaz and Inej and Morozko and Vasya from the Winternight trilogy. During book 3 I had to close the book and take a walk for 10 minutes because I was emotional. Vasher and Vivenna from Warbreaker were awesome too. Though some can argue that there wasn't romance there.

Oooh, I loved Kestrel X Arin in Winner's Curse(and loved most of that book) but then raged for the whole Winner's Crime because of the inconsistency, imo, of the characters' intelligence throughout the story, especially Kestrel's. In one moment she'd hatch a smart plan and in the next moment she'd be like "I, the high class noble, who has lived my whole life in the high class circles, now suddenly have no idea how politics work, even though I used it to my advantage before, teehee" *facepalms* And then the third book started out great & brutal aaaaand now I'm back to raging after 100 pages or so... Sigh... Now I am literally forcing myself to finish the book and I have about 200 pages left... 😑
Also, screw Arin. He endangers EVERYONE all the time and then is grumpy about everything. Could we get more of Kestrel's and Verex's relationship instead, please?(not that I am expecting that, because "We need to save poor Arin, even at the cost of destroying everything else that Kestrel ever cared for. Is there anyone else here that thinks that Ronan was the better option?") Sorry for the rant, but this series had such potential to become my new favorite 😅
But if anyone here has some characters like Kestrel, intelligent, rather than super strong in some way AND there are consequences for their actions, please do recommend such stories to me! I need more intelligent female protagonists!
As for the other couples mentioned, I've only read ACOTAR series and never cared for anything Feyre related(even though she's the main brat, I mean, the main character😅 ), including Feyre X Rhys 😂 I only read the series because of my favorite ship in there - Nesta X Cassian. I truly hope that the next the next story is going to be about them. But I'm also scared of how SJM will progress their relationship.

As I get older the picker I become with the couples in media that captivate me. 1. I have experienced those things now 2. I myself have matured so it's much more difficult to ignore the problems, so those problems have to be actually dealt with.
The relationships I feel in love with years ago I still love, but I just can't get as easily attached now.

This 7th grader in my student teaching class is currently reading Clockwork Prince, and I asked him who he wanted together. He said Jem and Tessa, but he knew who ends up together. I told him that I shipped all three of them together, and he asked what I meant. I told him that you can't deny that Will and Jem has romantic feelings between them, and he was like "I didn't think of it like that, but you're right." I felt proud in that moment.
I always thought of Will and Jem’s relationship as a high-quality bromance, but I remember there was a point where I was thinking that if it weren't for Tessa, I would have totally shipped them.

I love ships and shipping but I don't think I have that many when it comes to book ships. Most of mine are all tv show ships. But out of books here are some of mine. New and old. Jacob/Bella from Twilight. I loved this series when I was a teen. I am 30 now so not much of a fan anymore. Draco/Hermione from Harry Potter...I mean I know they aren't canon but I ship it. Cath/Levi from Fangirl. I read that earlier this year and instantly loved them. Jon/Arya from Game of Thrones..it's another ship that isn't canon but it may as well be...GRRM did outline them as endgame in his orig outline for the books way back when but of course stuff has changed and that very well could too.
