Love our RB room . Best scenario probably is to have Mullings get more Carries, but throw the ball more to Edwards . Best for the team and both players NFL value

I think Edwards will be a heisman finalists. He will have breakout season and he deserves everything positive coming his way. I see him breaking 2000 all purpose yards. Just a selfless kid, who wants his team and teammates to shine!! He is the whole personality of this Wolverines team and what college football should be about!!

It’s crazy if you all think Jordan Marshall ain’t finna get hella snaps! His talent is undeniable.💯 Tony Alford been waiting to get his hands on this kid. He’s definitely gonna be a big part in this years championship defense.💯

On most Michigan teams from the last 20 years, Marshall would be competing for a starting position.

Mullings may get more carries than Donovan on the year. Have to see if Dono has those stretches where he can't seem to find the hole. We know he's a homerun hitter but can he get consistent at 4 to 5 yards per carry.

I'm thinking in order to keep the music going with the PowerBack system they're trying to establish, take the taller back and stick them in the slot, that would be a Kaliel Mullins, because he is going to be your two down back... Mr. Edwards is going to be your dedicated back... Alternating back and forth between the inside-y, fullback and halfback position.
Then just plug in Colston Loveland, you need one more tight end though at least... Subtract Orji, and look at your squad Dynamics on the line between mullins, Edwards and Loveland.
Cover 2 is going to be kept busy just between the tight end and the slot, on 3rd down situations you still got to deal with Donovan Edwards and Alex Orji, any way you slice it that lineup is going to be a terror.
It's harder to defend a run than it is a pass than with run personnel on the field. And again, feed the meter mentality, we're not looking for chunk plays, if you get them fine... just get 2 - 3 yards per carry between first and second down, if you haven't converted, you've already got yourself 6 to 8 yds - let's do this!
Better watch out for Tavierre Dunlap.
Academy style ball is going to help, I love the trickeration Michigan used it was always appropriate, it was always at the right time...
Using that along with the right talent, that's an elite tool, that's an elite game happening.
Michigan has a stable of badass RBs, and will be poised to really do some damage.
    M Go Blue 🏈

@@markeastman5910 Sherrone Moore ain't joking about grounding and pound, that's the only way you're going to win today, to meet the challenges a speedy pass rush bring to the table is with a bulked up run scheme.

I think part of the mental with Donovan was getting the team inside the 5 multiple times and being subbed out. Competitors want to finish what they start. Just my opinion.

Edwards is not an every down back. He doesn't run well in between the tackles and he gets tripped up too easily.
Please use him as RB 2 and shift him out to the slot WR on passing downs. If we use him as I suggested then he will be a 2nd RD draft pick easy because of his recieving skills.

    • @dhaddine5472

Edwards runs too high and he’s a tall RB already. You need someone lower to the ground with a lower center of gravity between the tackles. Taller upright dudes do better in the open field, which is better on the outside or in the slot for catches.
