I had always assumed that “Pool boy at the vampire mansion” was a reference to “To The End” specifically “down by the pool he doesn’t have many friends” but I could be mistaken.
I’m calling it now, the fly ties to “the lord of the flies” which is a story that not only explores human nature (or it’s organisation/communities, maybe that’s what the vampire mansion is all about) but also AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: LOST OF INNOCENCE, which is the thematic center to mcr (like 9/11, skylines and turnstiles: can we still reclaim our innocence?!) if you really think about it, foundations of decay (get up coward!) acknowledges the pain of losing that innocence and trying to move forward despite all the wreckage, like you gotta build from that
Being deadass im glad it’s not an official album because it’d be such a stain on their discography. It’s just nowhere near bullets, three cheers, black parade, or danger days (plus it only has 2 GOOD songs)

My theory is they originally planned to do an album release in 2021 that was set to a theme of 9/11 - hence releasing an album during the 20 year anniversary of 9/11. But the pandemic hit & that was not possible. I think the album will still be themed around that. In a podcast interview Gerard said that since vampires became cool & mainstream they had lost a lot of their appeal to him. So I’m thinking there may be a Pool Boy song but I don’t think the album will be vampire themed.

hear me out what if it's a comeback album and the vampire theme is to basically say the band's music will never die (like vampires) and the death motifs are just a reminder of the origins of the band, and also that the topics that influenced the creation of the band (9/11 and war) still not being resolved or fixed because "yes it comforts me much to lay on the foundations of decay" in the bridge talking about how people still are not actively trying to stop all the wars that went around just because they weren't as strongly affected as 9/11

The one singing in the black parade lol) and he’s right that the song is about how he died in WW1, I think mcr5 is gonna be about the Parader’s life/time in the war. JUST A THEORY BUT NOBODIES SAID THIS YET SO CALLING IT.
What about the mcr reunion tour video. Through out the entire video danger days is the only story line that stays through the whole thing till the nuke goes off before the guy goes through the door. Maybe it's the same universe but the after math of that nuke thus the war torn city with decay and rats.
I think we should just stop pressuring them about new music because if we do it won’t be as good as if they make it when they want to I. I too am extremely normal about my chem. And I think we should stop assuming that every time they are together means that they’re doing mcr things. They all have their own music projects. Also the tiktok does not seem reliable. Why would he just tell some random person wouldn’t the guys just want him not to tell people?
I might be a lone wolf on these. Its still no album sadly. But i also dont think that they'll do something playing off of BP either. Im thinking that Decay was also kinda an odd one out.
