    I have been using a cheap set of husky stubby wrenches, but seen the icon version at HF for 35 dollars, decided to pick them up.

    I recommend Klutch brand from Northern Tools. Very good quality and price.

    It’s kind of funny all the Icon reviews on You Tube and no one has announced or told who was making the tools for HF ?

    I bought a bunch of Craftsman stubbys on clearance for under a $1 a wrench when my store closed. They were all USA made so I grabbed them. I also have 2 tekton sets and a set of Gearwrench So I have enough stubbys to last me the rest of my life and my great grandchildren’s lives. These Icons look to be pretty good quality for anyone in the market wanting to buy local.

    Tekton is a better value. 12 piece for $35

    I think Infar is making them. Same as Carlyle/Channellock ect

    Appreciate the review, but you are right...YT is being inundated with Icon reviews. I feel the icon pricing across the board is way too pricey. no exception here - 50 bucks for 12 stubby wrenches?! I purchased 14 Pittsburgh RATCHETING stubby's (7 metric & 7 SAE,) for around 30 bucks and they are great wrenches.

    If these are $50.00 I'd look to something else .

    20% coupons for ICON out regularly now. I’ve picked up a couple different sets because of it.😷

    Too expensive for me (even with a likely coupon)… Better off going with the Sunex 9930(M, for metric) sets. They are about half the price of these Icons and the Sunexes seem to be a very popular stubby wrench set (in the industry?).

    Just bought a set , I'm very impressed with the quality, I also like that their made in Taiwan and not in China, it's been a long time since I've felt like I was getting good tools for my money (always bought USA Craftsman) I would recommend these icon tools .even though they cost a little more, got a 20 percent off coupon so this set cost me 40 bucks.

    They do appear to be pretty nice but for $50 I would expect nothing less.

    Great for occasional home use. The professional mechanic has much better alternatives.

    people will always complain about something.
    I got a mix feeling of the new icon. Tools are as nice as the price. But at that price there\s new level of competition.

    HF is pricing themselves out of my market. Seems they are getting out of the affordable tool business.

    • @keshmo12
      @keshmo12 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Will they still will be selling the other brands like Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh professional for now.

      No, they still sell the cheap stuff! Something for everyone GOOD, BETTER , BEST!

      No, they are offering more choices. Including tool truck alternatives.

    • @CalebBoender
      @CalebBoender ปีที่แล้ว

      This is still wayyyyy cheaper than a tool truck brand. Their quality is pretty darn close to tool truck but a fraction of the cost. A snap on set of these probably costs around $200

    I think the ICON brand is rebranded TEKTON tools

    • @damienirvin777
      @damienirvin777 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I don't think so, Tekton is better quality than these

    • @aaronsands3799
      @aaronsands3799 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@damienirvin777 I Definitely agree! I have a few of there 1/2 I checked sockets and rachets, 3/8 impact sockets and rachets. But the quality of them and the parts # should be the same.

    I like the tool truck style storage container! Makes it easier to pick them up and go mobile. I am in a situation where I sometimes have to supplement my work situation with tools from home and this would make that easier.

    Oh great, now Catus is doing a bunch of Icon videos? Maybe he should change the channel name to Icon Maximus.
    I’m joking. Just having a little fun.
