You are brilliant!!!! My sewing machine not exactly like the one you are working on, but I got the idea and moved that spring to the right place and now everything works and saves lots of time in rethreading!!!!!!
OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I've been struggling w/this for WEEKS and it's making simple sewing projects take HOURS because my thread kept coming out of the needle. Turns out I had the same issue. Thanks again you just saved me loads of frustration!
Wow, Thank you so much. I was working on a very important project and I was literally so frustrated because the string kept coming out and making a big loop in front with every stitch and wouldn't sew properly at all. This is going to save my sanity.
Now mine is bent and the needle falls out....I want to replace this spring, but even Brother can't tell me what part I need. Anyone know the part # for the PE800?
This fixed my problems! Wow, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!! Just curious, what makes it move out of position? I was just embroidering along and noticed that I was having a hard time getting the thread behind the guide and saw the the spring guide was below the bar. Thanks to you, it works again!
You have to insert the needle through a hole in the middle of that thin spring plate when you put the needle in the needle clamp. Often when inserting the needle you move the needle around while you're trying to find the hole. This action pops the spring plate out of place and you end up sticking the needle in front of that plate instead of through the hole in the middle of it. from that point on the retaining spring plate is in the wrong position and the thread cannot stay in the #6 thread guide.
My wife and I have been chasing this "Thread Break" problem for a couple of days now. It looks like that #6 paper-thin spring on the wrong side of the needle clamp was the culprit. Hopefully this is the fix.
I have Singer Talent, and the thread keeps coming out of the needle hole just after 3-4 stitches I can't find any such paper thin metal in my machine. Can you please guide me on what can be the reason and how it can sorted ?
The thread comes out of the hole in the needle after a couple stitches? I would suggest you make the initial tail of thread coming through the needle ( and bobbin, if you have brought it to the top of the needle plate) a bit longer, as well as hold the tail of thread during the first few stitches so it can form it's initial stitches. It sounds like the upper take up assembly is pulling the short thread tail back up in the machine. This is fairly common.I hope that helps. Let me know.
If the correct walking foot for that machine is correctly installed there is no room for it to become disengaged from the needle bar. Either it is not the right walking foot for that machine or it is not correctly installed.
Shame on Baby Lock and Brother, for making that spring so thin!!! I have a Baby Lock Destiny 2, and this was a continuous problem. Then the tip of the spring broke off. I took it in for repair and they didn't replace it, they welded it somehow. Now I have to use a needle threader to fight to get that thread through. My spring on my Brother embroidery machine, that is several years older, is at least twice as thick and has never been a problem!
@elizabethh1815 Thank you for your comment. That is an easily obtainable part. If they were an authorized Baby Lock dealer, they should have replaced it. I have replaced and repaired many of them over the years. With care, these parts never get damaged, but many dealers don't take the time to instruct the buyers on proper operation of the machines they sell.
You just saved me a 70 mile trip (each way) to my sewing machine repair service! Thank you so much!!
I'm glad I could help. Like and subscribe for more videos.

It needs to be replaced. Your local Baby Lock or Brother dealer technician will have access to getting a replacement.
Thanks so much for this useful tip!

What about thread coming out of needle on a singer machine
Omg, thank you so much.
even though the little plate is in the right place (above) , my thread still keeps popping out.. any help!!?
The thread is physically incapable of popping out if the spring plate is in the correct location. Something else would have to be wrong or damaged.
Thanks that helps!
I didn´t understand what problems are caused by that. Can you, please, explain a little more those thread jumps?
thank you sooo much!
My needle bar is moving around, how can I tighten it…
2mm screw on the front of the needle bar, however it must be in the precise height and rotational position to function correctly and not cause damage.
The fork of my walking foot keeps coming off of needle bar on a Brother sewing machine. Anyone have any advice?
If the correct walking foot for that machine is correctly installed there is no room for it to become disengaged from the needle bar. Either it is not the right walking foot for that machine or it is not correctly installed.
@@arxmechanica ok thank you! I know I installed it right so it must be the wrong one.
It's always difficult to advise without seeing the machine/parts in prison.
@@arxmechanica in prison?? LOL that's hilarious! I know what you mean tho.
In person. Omg. Haha 😂
Thank you!!!!
Glad I could be helpful.
