Holy geesuz... now that I have access I'll change the oil filter. Wow.....My 2000 s70 is hard enough thanks. Red Baron is gonna look deadly. Can't wait for the cooler weather... So some timnkering and parts run. If you ever get to Cali we'll have to hit the pick n pull on the coast. Amazing temperatures there.... Like a Volvo spa day. 🤗😁
Hi, awesome video. Really helped debunk airbox removal. I purchased a new thermostat & housing from Volvo but when installing I am finding it is leaking from the back where the housing seats against the block. Bolts are tightened up nicely, gasket on housing is brand new. Any advice?
Hello Robert, really nice video and very helpful, good work. I have a v50 t5 and I have noticed that the thermostat is leaking. The thermostat on my car is the same as the 2,4l you are working on. My problem is that it is dripping coolant between the cap with the three screws and the rest of the housing. Do you think that it is enough just to buy a new thermostat, or should I buy new housing? Thanks.
Hey Robert do you know how to remove the stock air dryer off the ac system on the 850's? I cant find any thing online and i cant figure out how to disconnect the line that connects to the ac recharge rail.
Thankyou i finally managed to get it out. Im sure you get tired of people asking for help all the time, but i was wondering if you know if the 95 non turbo 850's need a orifice tube in the ac system? It says online that some do but i cant find out where in the ac system its supposed to go.
who when buying a car would buy a car when you lift up the hood and see all that plastic in the motor or part of the motor PLASTIC ? I know the new cars all have this but im sure some car companies don't so they would get my business...... the s60 plastic stuff is hard enough to get and fix with the sensors every where ...these newer Volvos are just junk but everyone wants to GET ONE...
That air box removal is the hardest part on the 2.4 and T5 engines, the upper radiator hose should be replaced soon too. Good work spoon
Thanks for sharing.

Yes it is. Starts baking around 9 am.
the s70 is child's play compared to the s60 ...you got to suit up to change the oil in a s60 ..
@@AwakeDude911 no doubt. Ntm how many things can break in the process. Good to know to check no for me on the S60. 🤯🤗
Note these were delivered with two different engine providers. The other type has thermostat on the side of the engine.
interesting.
Hey Robert. Hope you can show us how to do a correct power steering oil flush for the V50. My v50 is a 2.4 non turbo from 2005.

Not from here. Was the old gasket totally removed?

I would switch to the aluminum thermostat housing that SwedishCarParts.com has.
@@RobertDIY great, thank for your immediate answer :)
I have an 05 na s60. Just wondering when I should change out my t stat. I've been dreading it as you have to swap the whole housing.
Whenever the thermostat goes bad or starts leaking.

Press in the release tool and pull the lines out.

Well i found it finally
What does putting zip ties in the a/c clutch accomplish diy Robert?
Closes the clutch gap so the clutch can be re-engaged when it is supposed to kick back on while driving.
Thanks buddy, i enjoy your channel so much!
Dang!
LOL, Yes it sucked.
Holy Frittatas!
Yes, it's a mess.
That oriellys! It's as simple as this, if you won't warranty the tools i won't buy them! AutoZone usually will warranty anything with duralast on it.
That's what they told me.
