For every instance of a threat that they think there is on the internet, they will risk assess the information and see how people behave and what happens in certain situations. It's a serious threat to security for the governing bodies and whatever they may be trying to hide or not hide in area 51. And yes this a really thing that's going to happen. There's many hundreds of thousands of people waiting to raid or protest at least.
