Wow, wow, wow! The amount of times I was shouting, “Keep it, keep it Michele!” 😂 You are allowed to be a collector of rare makeup palettes and collections. I understand that you don’t want to wear makeup that is no longer available in case we ask, “What’s that eyeshadow, lipstick, blush, bronzer, highlighter, etc?”, which is incredibly thoughtful of you, but you are allowed to have your guilty pleasures. Mine happens to be antiques and art, but I don’t have children, so many will, and do say 🙄, what’s the point? Because it brings me joy to find them and to look at them. I think who ever receives your beautiful makeup will be delighted-gosh, some of the brands aren’t even available in South Africa, such as Chantecaille (yet we have several Tambotie trees on our farm 😂), and other brands that are available will have very limited colour releases, and only after a year to two after their US and European launches. As we approach Christmas, and the new year, I want to thank you for the the ways you have inspired me to be better and do better for myself; I started looking after my skin again, I’ve started buying new makeup, and am getting ready to declutter, and reorganise my wardrobe and face my long-term health and wellbeing goals, which includes pretty much what you did, and may I say, you are looking fantastic! YES I looovee makeup declutter videos, so seeing a 3 hour declutter video subscriptions is such a treat! Also, if you're done with a product, some Sephoras have a bin in their stores with Pact Collective where if you clean out the product and throw it in the bin, they find ways to repurpose/reuse the packaging.
I was unable to sleep last night and ended up with this video popping up next. What a wonderful declutterer you are Michelle! I like it when someone can make a ruthless decision without debating with themselves for ten minutes over each decision. Very impressive work. I must admit that I dozed off a few times but awoke in time to rewind and pick up where I left off. The best example of a declutter I've seen. At least you've slightly reduced my feelings of guilt for owning far too much high-end make-up! Although, we do come rather close in some areas. I don't wear foundation, except on a rare occasion, so you were way ahead on those products. Pencils too. That was only area that truly blew me away! You keep a lot of repeat colors on your makup. You must be collecting. Same, but on a much smaller scale. Loved it the video. ❤ Although with that being said, I never buy single shadows. They just become too much, too quick and it's so hard to remember to use them. Although you have a few colors that I found extremely tempting.
