    Ninh - nice video. Love Sedona! First visited in August 2009 with my wife and two sons. We were vacationing in Scottsdale where it was 120 degrees Fahrenheit (49-C) and a friend had told us to escape the heat to drive up to Sedona for the day. We were in awe! We did a Pink Jeep tour and had lunch while walking around the tourist shopping area in Uptown Sedona. My sons were in high school and junior high at that time, (so no family vacation could be "cool") but they wanted to go back and stay a week in Sedona. So we went back in 2011 and really fell in love with it. We visited the Grand Canyon then too, and like you, we connected more with Sedona. My wife and I have been there four more times and now we plan to move there in the next 5 years from Chicago. Spend a week there so you can show the places like Slide Rock (natural water slide in a smooth rock creek), climb Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock and take a mountain bike ride on some trails. Golf courses are amazing. There are spas and vortex tours. Take an afternoon in the town on the opposite side of the Verde Valley called Jerome which is built on a hillside, and then visit the wineries of Page Springs. So much to do around Sedona - and you never get tired of the views and the hiking.

      Hi Jerry,
      Thanks for the comment on this video. Yeah, I saw those Pink Jeeps and walked past the booking office - I wish I'd actually done a tour now!
      And hey, I'm happy for you guys (and a little jealous) that you're going to live there.
      It's a wonderful place to live and I met a lady (whilst hiking up that big rock) and she'd just moved there from New York. She couldn't be happier!
      I was a little disappointed with the Grand Canyon - I'd probably never go back there. But I'd visit Sedona again in a heartbeat - and next time I'll probably do some of the things you mentioned (and stay for a week at least!).
      Thanks for your insight Jerry!

    FYI, there is no "Sedona National Park." This is the Red Rock Ranger District of Coconino National Forest, federally managed public land. Sedona is the name of one of the towns located within and surrounded by the National Forest. National Forests are managed by the U.S. Forest Service, an agency in the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

    Aloha 🌴 Sedona has been Calling my Heart Spirit Mind for years 💞 I made a public playlist of Sedona videos to review and put yours on top. Mahalo Nui Loa, Ninh, for a personable joy-filled comprehensive tour. When I started my study, your video actually appeared first and was indeed the first I viewed in starting my study of a place I knew nothing about. Now I'm planning a month long tour of AZ 🌿 Mahalo!

    When you come back, check out Chapel of the Holy Cross. It’s an easy hike, but it’s still cool being in a church built in the rocks.

    Sedona is incredible. Those views don't require you to be outside the city limits. When you drive in, you're driving through a beautiful town with those views. South is the Sonoran desert. It's in/near at least, not sure of the boundaries, Cococino National Forest. Grand Canyon is north.

    You'll have to do the "Circle of Canyons" tour that's the ULTIMATE bucket list to enjoy the Southwestern United States. Sedona and the Grand Canyon are part of it, but there's much more that's breathtaking: Canyon de Chelley (in Arizona) and Zion National Park (in Utah) would "blow your mind" like Sedona.

    • @UltimateBucketList
      @UltimateBucketList  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm working on my Grand Canyon video now - I should have visited Zion as it wouldn't have been too much of a stretch. But for sure I'll go back someday - hopefully with someone to share the experiences with! :)

    • @UltimateBucketList
      @UltimateBucketList  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I honestly don't think it had a name? I just headed towards Chimney Rock and started hiking on the trail until it went cold, then I started climbing up to the top to get that drone shot!
      The best thing to do though is to drive to various lookout points, walk around them and then drive to the next one.
