    @WallieB26,
    To clarify your question regarding the neighboring Aaron's, the site was formerly occupied by a Silo store. And for those of you unfamiliar with Silo, it was a Philadelphia-based retailer specializing in electronics and appliances, similar in caliber to Best Buy. Silo locations began to garner a presence in the Western PA and Eastern Ohio region around 1989. The Silo chain liquidated around 1995. The former site in Center Twp (reincarnated as the Aaron's store seen in the video), remained vacant for quite a few years after the liquidation, until being reoccupied by Aaron's. Not too sure when the Aaron's location opened. I moved to South Carolina in 2016 and don't recall whether or not it was before or after my relocation. As for the former Silo, I actually remember that location distinctly. I remember my parents bought their first dishwasher there in 1990 or so. I remember because that was the happiest I'd ever seen my mother- by her, she was running with the in-crowd then because she owned a dishwasher. I don't remember any other Silo locations, save for one on McKnight Road in Ross.
    And yes, bummer about King's :( Great food quality and robust portions for the price! It sucks to see them on their way out. I distinctly remember joining family and friends for many a late dinner at the King's location featured it this video. It sucks to see them on their way out.

    Growing up, I used to eat at this very Kings alot. My mom used to take me shopping at the Beaver Valley Mall for our girls day. We would stop at this very Kings to eat afterwards. Now that she's been gone for 20 years, memories like that are cherished. Thanks for the video Wallie! I know you feel me on the great family memories.

    My late Uncle Bill loved their Kong burger. I remember the King Kong doll hanging from the ceiling of the restaurant. I would always get the hot turkey sandwich
    and then mom and I would split a huge, hot fudge sundae. Sad that they're having trouble.

    my mom worked here since they opened and stayed till they closed. When kings was family owned, they had benefits, family picnics, vacations, etc. as soon as Kelly’s in CA bought it out they got rid of all of that. They basically made everything as cheap as possible and sat back and waited for someone to make an offer on the building. They shut down the day of with no warning to the employees 2 weeks before Christmas.

    My brother no dad and I used to go there every weekend, there was a nice waiter that was a friend of my dads, she was fun, we always hoped that we got her every time we went there, every time we went, I would always get a burger from the kids menu,we moved to Monaca only like a year earlier, so we weren’t going there for a while, such a shame it closed

    The Aaron's was a electronics store back in the 90's called silo. Then it closed and was empty for years before becoming something else for a short period. And I think that building's history was like that for years before it's became Aaron's...

    these days when a company buys out a restaurant or other place, it's not about quality anymore, it's about making money so quality goes downhill and then the restaurant or store closes due to not making a lot of money

    I live a minute from the Monaca Kings. We drove by the other day and were shocked that it was closed. Couldn't have been more than a week ago. To me, they never recovered due to never having enough employees after the pandemic. We went occasionally and the food was fine, nothing exciting. This one did not have the employee only' walking section. At least recently. I moved here 12 years ago and I don't remember there ever being one. I think there was one in Bridgeville, but that one's been closed for awhile. It's a great location. I personally am hoping a Trader Joe's goes in.

    The King's in Somerset just closed late last month. It's a shame what happened to this once beloved restaurant chain. Their desserts were really good.
    I wouldn't be surprised if King's just mainly focuses on one restaurant by 2025. I feel like King's needs that one identity.
