Hey Rob! Loved this one. I knew who your guitar hero was already and I agree that Walsh is hard to dislike even if The Eagle aren’t your bag. I enjoyed this list! Hopefully some day you can see Clapton or May in concert. Cheers buddy!
Hi Rob- so…many…stellar…guitarists! I was fortunate to see Brian May with Queen/Lambert several years ago- so well worth going if JUST to watch May do his thing 👍 I’d add Johnny Marr to the list just for his guitar tone with The Smiths 🤔 No Blue Rodeo, eh? HA! Cheers-R
I finally got a Whitehorse album. I didn't notice the guitar playing as much as I noticed Melissa's vocals! I've got it in mind to pick up a couple more, and I'll listen more carefully to the guitar work. I should see if he's on any of the Sarah McLachlan albums I have. My wife saw Queen with Adam Lambert live in January 2020, just when the word of that new virus was starting to get around. I still have to check out The Sadies.
My favorite guitarists are Jimi Hendrix, the three guitarists from The Yardbirds (Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page) and Pete Townshend. I guess my favorite guitar albums, just for the guitar, are "Layla" by Derek And The Dominoes, "Blow By Blow" by Jeff Beck and "Surfing With The Alien" by Joe Satriani. And of course, Jimi Hendrix's full catalog. Clearly the one rock guitarist who made the biggest change in how electric rock guitar was played.
Morning Rob killer idea for a video idea… My favorite guitarists are as follows.. (1) Mark Knopfler (2) Michael Bloomfield (3) Rory Gallagher (4) David Gilmour (5) Jimmy Page (6) Eric Clapton (7) Brad Paisley. I hope all is well my friend🤘🏻 Great job
Clapton, Walsh, Buckingham from your list. I would add Hendrix, Joe Perry, Angus Young, Mike Campbell as well as B.B. King, Albert King (and a hundred more blues guitarists).
Very interesting trivia about that Lindsay Buckingham guitar. I like Brian May too. That guy has a PHD too. Renaissance man! We saw Luke Doucet at the Sarah McLachlan concert this past summer in Boston and he was awesome! So cool we got to meet him with you in Guelph. Patty wants to see Whitehorse again, so I need to check the concert calendar. Clapton is the G.O.A.T. for me. Albeit, as you said, he put out some mediocre stuff in the catalog for sure. ✌️
Those are some Choice picks/I had that Clapton album Some righteous guitar albums Albert King/I'll play the blues for you This guy Roy Buchanan /Amazing guitarist/ he died a while ago.. Also, some good guitar players whose talent is not recognized Stephen Stills Dave Mason

Many thanks Northern Revolutions
Next video should be favorite saxophonists, number one being Mike Love. Nice video, I think we need a Rob guitar playing live stream.
@@samstjohn1994 Sam, I dont want to be famous so no guitar playing. Also, Im also “The World’s Most Average Shitty Guitar Player”

@@musicisajourney which Whitehorse album did you get?
@ Strike Me Down. There were two albums on Amazon, and I bought this one first. I’ll get the other later.

@@jameswilson7084 agree with all of that James. Ive got most of Hendrix and 100% he was the most influential but just is in my top few favourites.
