Nice! Just finished this workout! Felt great! Much appreciated! I have been looking for a new total body work out. You're definitely in top 5 Total Gym Guru's!
Hello today I tarted fallow your routines, for around a year I was fallow another trainer but it did work, the way that I wanted . I,m 67 years old and really active. Like your routine, sometimes to fast and I have to pause to change or connect the cable. Great routine for 20’
Just came across your videos. Followed you on this routine today. I have a Total Gym XL and I'm wondering what the benefits of the Fit are in comparison. I found a used Fit with all the attachments for $200. It seems like the T.G. users on youtube all use the Fit for some reason. Just an aside, I looked up the difference between the XL and the XLS and the only difference appears to be that the XLS is rated for 400lbs and the XL is 350lbs.
Hey man I love the channel. I just got a total gym and plan on using only the tg for my workouts. Do you have any advice on what a week workout would look like. Could you do this total body workout everyday or do you schedule rest days or focus on certain body parts each day?
Thanks so much. Here's a video / template that I default recommend people to and what I basically did for about 3 years using my total gym th-cam.com/video/PVIopw8Hpzc/w-d-xo.html
You certainly could. I preferably like to get the total work done in one sitting, but if you're consistent overall in your workouts, than that would work.
Are you lying face down? At the very least I'd try dropping the tower height down and try finding a angle that doesn't aggravate it. I'd also ask why kind of attachment you're using and how you have it facing.
Very good thanks for the inspiration you provide. After the workout experimented and pulled out the rope attachments. Got in a prone pullover position but crossed the ropes and pulled in an arc out to the side rather than to the floor. Also, did the same except lying rather than kneeling. Seemed to feel good but difficult to gauge since already fatigued. Have you done that move before?
Yes, you're basically right. Primarily it's the lats. Your triceps will be working isometrically if you're not bending your elbows and you'll be working some posterior deltoids as well.
Yes, I believe something that is similar in format if you're consistent will produce results. Just focus on finding exercises that work for you and stress the muscles you're working.
not really. for whatever reason, the movement feels unnatural on the dip bars and somewhat awkward unless you do them in the prone position and even then its not great
Sorry Robert. The music is always the killer in these. Trying to find something neutral is borderline impossible especially with what is available. Believe it or not for every music dislike, I get "what's the name of that song" so I have no idea.
IMO hands down the best 20 min workout on this page. I’ve been doing this for about year and a half now. Hits everything upper and lower body
That's awesome feedback thank you. I'll be examining this a little closer to replicate it in the future!

What are some other good people to watch for the Total Gym?
@@slystallone2225 There is a good amount out there..My suggestion just dig on TH-cam/Google you will find what you enjoy!
I just did this workout today! Really liked it. I’m going to make it a staple.
Thanks Eric.

Thank you for watching Maria. Sorry for the speed, I'm still trying to perfect the workout videos.
So I picked one up and no instructions with it. Very thankful I’m going to blow up now.
Great to hear. Keep using it and you'll see results.
Again awesome video!
Thank you!
Great workout to hit the back! I tried it the same way you've showed and I like it to get the back!
I have the Weider UBW with the resistance bands. Those inverted pushups made me nervous when I attached one. Lol
This is great, thank you
hello just found this workout. Thank you.
Happy you found it!

@@hybridresistance thanks so much dude, this is a huge help!
Thank you
No problem, thanks for watching
Hi Mike, If I do the circuit 1 in the morning and circuit 2 in the evening, would it be less effective in terms of building mass?
You certainly could. I preferably like to get the total work done in one sitting, but if you're consistent overall in your workouts, than that would work.
Inverted presses bother the back of my neck and I'm not sure what I am doing wrong.
Are you lying face down? At the very least I'd try dropping the tower height down and try finding a angle that doesn't aggravate it. I'd also ask why kind of attachment you're using and how you have it facing.
@@hybridresistance Yes face down, and the same attachment you have facing the same way.
This workout coupled with resistance bands for more resistance is a burner
Glad you found it useful Thomas.
Great video, thanks!

Thanks for the comments. I don't think I have tried that, but I will give it a go. Thanks
What muscles do the pullovers work? It looks like back primarily and triceps? And even some shoulders?
Yes, you're basically right. Primarily it's the lats. Your triceps will be working isometrically if you're not bending your elbows and you'll be working some posterior deltoids as well.
Hello again....thought you previously mentioned kettle bell handles for the power blocks. Tried to find a link but did not. Was I mistaken?
Here's what I was using amzn.to/2XDs8gE I need to break those out again.
Awesome!
Is this a workout a newbie can do 3 to 5 times a week and see total body changes at some point?
Yes, I believe something that is similar in format if you're consistent will produce results. Just focus on finding exercises that work for you and stress the muscles you're working.
Love yr attitude and workouts. Nice work. Bread and butter works great😊
Hey also what platform do you use to make yr videos inserting boxes etc
Thank you! I use either iMovie (this could have been Final Cut Pro) or Premiere Pro
Nice
I always worry it will tip over don’t know why
Hey Mike, is the Total Gym Dip Bar worth to buy?
not really. for whatever reason, the movement feels unnatural on the dip bars and somewhat awkward unless you do them in the prone position and even then its not great
@@brianscott8456 I just bought it 😔
and mike mistakenly referred to the wing bars as dip bars in this video. My previous comment is only regarding actual total gym dip bars
I wouldn't feel bad if you got it, still something worth mixing in from time to time. I don't dislike them, just a limited use attachment.
Everything......burns
Really like your videos, but some of the music is very annoying
Sorry Robert. The music is always the killer in these. Trying to find something neutral is borderline impossible especially with what is available. Believe it or not for every music dislike, I get "what's the name of that song" so I have no idea.
