Fantastic overview with lots of gold nuggets for just 20min, JD is the real deal - a modern player with very deep blues roots. Killer chops, tone for days and he’s all soul.

Guitar teacher recommended I go and see him so last night I was lucky enough to see him in Chicago and all I can say is WOW! DUDE is is incredible and just blew me away with his style and how everything he played just sounded new in its own way but equally exceptional. If you ever get a chance, see him!

It's really cool to play in these styles, I do not like the plasticky sound when the pick hits the strings so I never use one as well, I wish I could play like the fast players tho, makes me jealous watching you :)

Is the middle position out of phase? Sounds like it later on in the video but not in the beginning?.
Yeah he has it wired up on a push pull. Its in-phase stock and electronically out of phase when toggled.
Hard to delineate as Eric Johnson is a finesse player but no less primal. JD Simo is fantastic

THE VOLUMEN OF HIS GUITAR IS SO MUCH LOUDER THAN THE VOLUMEN OF HIS VOICE, THAT'S IS A BIG PROBLEM I ENCOUNTER A LOT, BUT NEVER IN TRUEFIRE, THEY SHOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT, IT'S A PAIN TO WATCH COURSES THAT HAVE THESE PROBLEM, YOU HAVE TO KEEP LOWERING AND BRINGING THE VOLUME.
