adieu goodman devil (twelfth night shakespeare re-interpretation/cover) zephyr duffy

helloooo internet people and welcome back to the twelfth night brain rot saga :)
there's a lot i could say about this song but bascially, the 1996 adaptation version of this song is really fun to sing, and I wanted to cover it but i ended up giving it a twist?
in the movie and in the play when Feste sings it, it comes off as making fun of Malvolio, which I do think is what the song is doing, but (because i tend to make things more dramatic kgjhdfgkj) i see this version as highlighting the unfortunate nature of Malvolio's character, how he is so desperate for power that he even acknowledges he'd only really hurt people with, and how we find this character mirrored so often in the real world
