gotta a long version on one of pulp's cd's..LOVE it.. "you've just heard one of the most remarkable applications in modern electronics" exchange student at a French art school , lonely as hell and bought myself a present..pulp cd's!!
@grahamlyons2000 - I've got quite a lot of the early materials - It, Freaks and the Countdown CDs from 1996. It's a mixed bag - some truly excellent material and some moderate songs. But generally very good!!
I have been listening to this one particular version for 4 days straight and still not burned out on it. It's great! Sounds like a brand new song every time it restarts and I have it on a loop!
@@noelreverberation I guess taste is subjective. I understand what he meant. His n Hers, and Different Class made Pulp famous over the world, they found their sound, for fit in commercial mass music (called britpop). But some old songs have an original and creative sound, for a few people, that some fans like more. I do think Pulp evolved and got better quality songs later. Some bands have lived similar changes, for instance, The Verve. In South America, most people only know their album Urban Hymns, because of the hit Bittersweet symphony and a couple of ballads. While a real fan could say earlier albums are much better.
Anyway, which album is it from??? I've never heard this song before, but it seems that it's from the pre-His'n'Hers period ... When they were infamous ...
Well, Pulp was a britpop band, they simply couldn't be understood in the USA, they sing about very british things, about british suburbian lives ... And maybe they are too subtle for an average american listener, you know, their songs are not like "oh come on, I want your body baby, you turn me on, I like the way you mo-o-o-ooove." It's not like Beyonce or The Pussycat Dolls and these american things ...
Oi, I'm American. I mean, not all American music is awful... But a significant portion of it is. I love Britpop and I virtually listen to all Brit music anyway, so I don't know what's wrong w/ me. Maybe I just have common sense ;-)
Wow! finally something from the early pulp! I don't know how I didn't see before Good to see this early old stuuf here and yeah! Jarvis looks like Ian there Great! 'coz I love both of them ^^ hehe thanks for upload it :)
i grew up with this song, and it peaked when i was 17 :D
If they released this now it'd be MASSIVE.
@Malte Laurids Brigge Anytime
Fantastic! One of the best Pulp songs ever!
I had the pleasure of meeting the band and shaking Jarvis’ hand. They all signed my copy of their album(CD). Jarvis is pure class.
This is brilliant.
I've been listening to their countdown 1983-92compilation in my car :)

This is the best song LCD Sound System never wrote.

Goooood Morning! ❤
wow, i had no idea there was even a video for this song! thank you for uploading this.
heard this track in 1991, recording rage with long play tapes, trawling for hip hop, and it always stayed in my head, so good.
Thanks for this - I have never seen this promo. You've made my day!

I'm blown away by how much Jarvis Cocker looks, dresses and moves like Ian Curtis in this video 😍

A wonderful song from their last 'really' big album, 'Separations'. Great band...
So, his and hers, different class and this is hardcore aren't great albums? Be honest they are quite better

Pulp at its best!!!
From Separations (1992), in my opinion probably their best proper album ^^
This sounds like LCD Soundsystem but 15 years before them.
@wana053 - That's the same CD I've got - and it's the legend that is Rolf Harris saying that! (About the Stylophone).
interesting... I think they both have their moments of thrill...
@Leisurelydinner , I thought the same thing, this Song is EPIC! What an amazing band, they were perfect!
I love this! ❤
Played this at brixton last night!

Wow I didn't even know this existed!! I feel like I'm 16 again :)

It Sounds 70s actually:D Pulp ( or jarv ) hate the 80s. This is when Pulp were moving from 60s style garage to 70s style pop:D
Great song, but extremely crappy video!
Maybe overall, but Candida looks pretty good here.
One of the most brilliant songs from early work of Pulp, but… this video is… ehm, not so good.
Bland average song
Wow!
finally something from the early pulp!
I don't know how I didn't see before
Good to see this early old stuuf here
